Orakpo sustained a minor leg injury in Thursday's 40-17 loss to the Steelers, freelance sports writer John Glennon reports.
Orakpo played 53 of 76 defensive snaps, notching two solo tackles, but head coach Mike Mularkey indicated the injury wasn't serious. The 31-year-old will have also some extra recovery time before the Week 12 matchup with the Colts due to the Thursday night game this week.
Orakpo recorded a sack in Sunday's victory over the Bengals.
Orakpo made his only tackle of the day count, as he forced opposing quarterback Andy Dalton to fumble following a sack early in the second quarter. The veteran saw 41 snaps (80.0 percent) in the contest.
Orakpo notched four tackles (one solo) and a half sack Sunday against the Browns.
Orakpo is slumping after he racked up 10.5 sacks in 2016, since he has just 1.5 sacks this campaign. Because he doesn't add much in the tackle category with just 20 tackles (15 solo) on the season, it's tough to see much IDP value at this time.
Orakpo recorded a sack and four tackles while hitting the quarterback twice overall in Sunday's 37-16 win at Jacksonville.
Orakpo and fellow outside linebacker Derrick Morgan were both able to get to quarterback Blake Bortles in this one. The duo provides a potent pass rush when both are healthy.
Orakpo had one tackle in Sunday's season finale against Houston.
Orakpo needed just half a sack over the final two weeks to tie his career high of 11.0, but failed to get it. On the bright side, the veteran outside linebacker played in all 16 games for the second consecutive season since joining the Titans while racking up a respectable 46 tackles. He looks spry as ever at age 30, and will once again be a threat for double-digit sacks in 2017.
