William Moore: Released by Falcons
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore was released by the Falcons on Monday, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports.

Moore has managed just two complete 16-game seasons in his seven-year career, and 2015 wasn't one of them. Limited to 11 appearances due to groin and ankle concerns, he was eventually placed on injured reserve as a result of the latter injury, but not before totaling 51 tackles (38 solo), two interceptions, and one forced fumble. While he turns 31 in the offseason, he likely can offer safety depth to another organization, as long as he remains healthy.

Falcons' William Moore: Plays 11 games before ankle injury ends season
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore tallied 51 tackles and two interceptions in 11 games before he was sidelined for the season with an ankle injury.

Injuries have been a problem for Moore throughout his entire career, but he's been solid when he's been on the field. He'll be pressed by some young players in the offseason, but he has two years remaining on his contract and should start at safety if he is healthy in 2016.

Falcons' William Moore: Placed on IR
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

Derailed by injuries for a second straight year, Moore has now played 12+ games just once in his last five seasons. He's still one of the Falcons' top defensive players when healthy, but the team may want to address his projected 2016 cap number of $6.65 million. In any case, Kemal Ishmael and Robenson Therezie are the candidates to start alongside Ricardo Allen for the rest of the season.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in San Francisco.

Moore didn't practice all week and will miss a second straight game. Kemal Ishmael figures to fill in at safety, but with Robenson Therezie possibly getting some of the snaps, the situation is best avoided in IDP leagues.

Moore (groin) did not practice Wednesday.

After sustaining the groin injury during the Falcons' Week 7 matchup against the Titans, Moore was unable to play in Week 8 against the Buccaneers. Any fantasy owners should monitor Moore's status throughout the week leading up to Sunday's contest against newly-named starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert and the 49ers.

Falcons' William Moore: Won't practice Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Moore (groin) will not practice Wednesday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Moore was forced out of Sunday's game against the Titans during the first half due to a groin injury. Since he's already been ruled out for Wednesday's practice session, Moore's status will have to be monitored throughout the week. If Moore is unable to recover in time, Kemal Ishmael would figure to assume his starting safety position for Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers.

Falcons linebacker William Moore racked up nine total tackles and a pass defended in Monday's win over the Eagles.

Moore's nine tackles trailed only Paul Worrilow for the team lead. Moore won't always have the benefit of playing against the Eagles, but he should put up solid defensive statistics throughout the year.

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com

Falcons strong safety William Moore is hoping to be cleared for at least some activity this offseason after undergoing major shoulder surgery after last year.

"I haven't the slightest idea," Moore told ESPN when asked when he will be given clearance. "We're still rehabbing. We're sore right now from rehab, but my body feels excellent. My weight is great. I'm at 220. I was at 230, 232. With this defense, we're running and hitting. I'm still going to be down in the box. I'm excited about that."

Moore separated his shoulder in Week 4 and was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return. He then re-injured it in December, which limited his action to just seven games in 2014.
