Ward (hamstring) was deemed healthy Tuesday, Mike Klis of 9 News Denver reports.
After missing two weeks, Ward will start preparing for his first chance at preseason action against the Packers on Saturday. With 87 tackles, eight pass breakups, three forced fumbles and an interception in 2016, Ward doesn't have to prove much when it comes to solidifying his starting job. Expect him to play in a limited role for the remainder of the preseason.
Ward (hamstring) won't travel with the team for Saturday's preseason game in San Francisco, Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post reports.
Ward, who remains without a timeline for a return, will stay in Denver in order to continue rehab on his injured hamstring. Backup Will Parks should take his place in the starting lineup Saturday.
Ward (hamstring) has been declared out of Thursday's game in Chicago, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.
Ward could still play in some preseason action, and he's expected to be ready for Week 1. Denver is going to proceed cautiously with its top strong safety. Last season, Ward made 87 tackles in 14 games, defended eight passes and recorded an interception. He's slated to line up across from free safety Darian Stewart.
Ward exited Friday's practice with a hamstring injury, Nick Kosmider of The Denver Post reports. "We're not sure how serious or how mild," head coach Vance Joseph said. "He's being checked out by the doctor right now."
Ward left the field gingerly during 11-on-11 drills and didn't return to practice. Look for his status to be updated in the coming days.
Ward (concussion) won't play in Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Ward missed last week's game due his concussion and has yet to return to practice. Will Parks is expected to start in Ward's place once again.
