That Jets defense had a rough go of it. They blitzed the wrong dude. They just didn't play well in the secondary. The offense isn't good enough to keep up. Peyton Manning was sensational, throwing for 377 yards and three scores. He picked that Jets blitz to shreds.
And the weekend winner is ... the city of New Orleans. And it's about time. Not only does it have the Saints in their first Super Bowl, it has native son Peyton Manning in his second. The way I see it, New Orleans can't lose. The last time Indianapolis was in Miami the Colts had three scoring drives of one minute or less, and that could happen in Super Bowl XLIV mainly because the Saints will find Manning more elusive ... and I mean a lot more elusive ... than Brett Favre.

Expert Picks (against the spread)
Harmon: A big game from the Jets' defense will be crucial to them staying afloat in this game, but it doesn't necessarily guarantee a win.
Prisco: The Jets are the kind of team the Colts love to play: A team that can't score much. The Colts eat those teams alive. Just ask the Ravens. Look for Peyton Manning to carve up that Jets blitz.
Judge: Too much Manning, too little luck for jets.
Madden: Jets proving they need to be taken seriously. Colts are in for a dogfight.
Richard: The Colts did a great job against a running team in the Ravens and take on another team nearly identical to them defensively.
Urbano: My pick to win it all will need a big game from Dallas Clark, and he'll deliver as usual.

Community Take
camsimps: I have always been a Joseph Addai supporter, even when so many Colts fans were really down on him, so I~Rm really glad to see him vindicated by a great second half of the season. As for the wide receivers, I was way off base there. I thought that it was a huge weakness on this team, and that the Colts should have signed another veteran receiver before the season. When Gonzo went down and the receivers struggled in that first game, I was way too quick to crow that I was right all along. Turns out I wasn't so right after all. But I've never been so glad to be wrong.
starblazer: The Jets got beat by the best quarterback on the planet. Next year, they need to draft a pass-rusher at end and add a playmaker at wide receiver. This playoff run, established Sanchez as a QB who can play in big games. He was excellent, with his only pick coming on a deflected pass late in the game. The Jets are no fluke. Those haters who say that don't know squat about football. The Jets have a great offensive line, run the ball well, and play defense. Teams like that always have a chance. In fact, most win NFL titles. No team has ever done that with a rookie QB, but the Jets came 30 minutes from being the first to try.
