09/18/17WRJohn BrownQuadricepsDOUBTFULBrown (quadriceps) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Mike Jurecki of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Brown's absence wasn't surprising, given that Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians suggested earlier in the week that it would be "miraculous" if the wideout suited up Monday night against the Cowboys. Until Brown is able to complete at least a limited portion of practice, he shouldn't be viewed as a good bet to return to game action. J.J. Nelson and Jaron Brown will be the primary beneficiaries of increased targets and enhanced snap counts if John Brown indeed misses a second straight contest in Week 3.

09/18/17LBDeone BucannonAnkleQUESTIONABLEBucannon (ankle) appears to be trending toward his season debut Monday against the Cowboys, Mike Jurecki of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Although Bucannon replicated his practice participation from last week with a limited showing Thursday, head coach Bruce Arians said the dollar linebacker will "be on a snap count" in his first game action since May ankle surgery. If he's active Monday, Bucannon may not play exclusively at money backer, as he's been building up his knowledge of the other LB positions. IDP relevance may be difficult to come by right away, though, due to the performance of rookie Haason Reddick (15 tackles) in his stead.

09/18/17TEJermaine GreshamRibsQUESTIONABLEHead coach Bruce Arians said Thursday that Gresham (ribs) will likely suit up Monday against the Cowboys, Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic reports.

Gresham kicked off the week with a limited showing at Thursday's practice, but Arians' comment indicates he's marching toward a return. Assuming he avoids a setback with his rib injury, he'll push Troy Niklas and Ifeanyi Momah down the depth chart at tight end.
