11/23/17DBBene' BenwikereCoach's DecisionOUTBenwikere will sign a one-year deal with the Bengals, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Benwikere started the 2016 season as the Panthers' top cornerback, but quickly fell down the ranks and was eventually released by the team following a 300-yard performance from Julio Jones. He then had a brief stints with the Dolphins and Packers to end the season. Only 25, the cornerback could play his way into a starting position with the Bengals, who are currently facing a lot of uncertainty in the secondary. Dre Kirkpatrick is a pending free agent and Adam Jones' best days may be behind him. William Jackson III, the Bengals' 2016 first-round pick, spent the entire season on injured-reserve, leaving his status in question as well. Benwikere adds depth to the cornerback position, but will have to show signs of his former self in order to make it on the 53-man roster.

11/23/17TEBlake JarwinCoach's DecisionOUTJarwin was promoted to the Cowboys' active roster Thursday, the Cowboys' official site reports.

The Cowboys will bolster their tight end depth this week by adding Jarwin, an undrafted rookie from Oklahoma State, to the active roster. In a corresponding move, the team parted ways with quarterback Kellen Moore.

11/23/17LBSean LeeHamstringOUTCowboys owner Jerry Jones confirmed that Lee (hamstring) wouldn't play Thursday against the Chargers, David Helman of the Cowboys' official site reports.

After Lee injured his hamstring in the Week 10 loss to the Falcons, the Cowboys were always bracing for a multi-game absence, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that the linebacker will miss his second consecutive game. Jaylon Smith and Justin Durant will likely be the main beneficiaries of extra snaps at linebacker with Lee out and Anthony Hitchens (groin) looking uncertain for Thursday.

11/23/17LBJustin March-LillardCoach's DecisionOUTMarch-Lillard signed a contract with the Cowboys on Wednesday, Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News reports.

March-Lillard was waived Saturday by the Seahawks after playing exclusively on special teams during his lone game with the team. The 24-year-old is likely to see a similar role in Dallas now that middle linebacker Anthony Hitchens has returned from a knee injury.

11/23/17RBDarren McFaddenCoach's DecisionOUTMcFadden (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game versus the Chargers, David Helman of the Cowboys' official site reports.

As the Cowboys enter a third game without the suspended Ezekiel Elliott, McFadden will remain in street clothes for the second game in a row. Without an injury to Alfred Morris or Rod Smith, McFadden is unlikely to make an appearance before Elliott returns in Week 16.

11/23/17KMike NugentCoach's DecisionOUTNugent (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Thursday against the Chargers, David Helman of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Nugent is yielding kicking duties to Dan Bailey, who has overcome a groin injury to end a four-game stretch of DNPs. Assuming Bailey doesn't falter or suffer another ailment, Nugent is a candidate to be released in the coming days.

11/12/17RBEzekiel ElliottSuspensionSUSPENDElliott's agents issued a statement Wednesday indicating the running back would withdraw his appeal for his six-game suspension, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

With the latest ruling all but assuring that Elliott misses six games, he's apparently opting to get some closure on the matter and set his sights on a return Week 16 against the Seahawks. He's leaving the country to train while he's prohibited from being around the team, perhaps hoping that some distance will help him get in the right frame of mind. In the Cowboys' first game without Elliott in a Week 10 loss to the Falcons, Alfred Morris led the Dallas backfield with 11 carries for 53 yards, with Rod Smith contributing three carries for 14 yards and four catches for 15 yards (on six targets). Darren McFadden only played one snap and lost two yards on his lone carry.

01/06/17DLRandy GregorySuspensionSUSPENDThe NFL isn't expected to clear Gregory (suspension) if he decides to apply for reinstatement when first eligible to do so Nov. 6, Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reports.

Gregory was handed a one-year suspension from the league in January 2017 following multiple failed drug tests, so even if he were reinstated after the year is up, it would come after the current regular season has already concluded. While he's reportedly spent significant time in a rehab facility over the past year and had passed league-administered tests as recently as September, optimism regarding Gregory's reinstatement has seemed to fade over the past few weeks. Sources close to the situation declined to provide specifics behind why Gregory's reinstatement could be delayed, but the Cowboys will wait for the defensive end to get his personal life in order until he's comfortable pursuing a return to professional football. Gregory has appeared in just 14 games for the Cowboys since being selected in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
