Bears' Leonard Floyd: Avoids ACL injury
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Floyd's (knee) MRI results Monday revealed his ACL is still intact, Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reports.

It is unclear to what extent his MCL is damaged, but his avoidance of an ACL tear means he will likely be able to recover in time for the Bears' 2018 offseason program. Floyd has not been officially shutdown for the season, but coach John Fox described the issue as "fairly serious." Some combination of Pernell McPhee, Sam Acho, and Isaiah Irving figure to fill Floyd's void at outside linebacker.

Bears' Cairo Santos: Reaches deal with Chicago
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Bears signed Santos (groin) to a contract Monday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Santos met with the Bears on Thursday but initially wasn't signed. The team opted to change course at kicker, however, after Connor Barth missed a 46-yard field goal attempt in the waning seconds of Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Lions. While Santos has a strong track record, he's unlikely to produce points at a prolific rate due to his reliance on a lackluster Chicago offense. He was an above-average kicker for Kansas City the past three seasons before being replaced by Harrison Butker after suffering a groin injury earlier in the campaign.

Bears' Connor Barth: Replaced by Cairo Santos
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Barth is expected to be cut loose by the Bears in the coming days with the team signing fellow kicker Cairo Santos on Monday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Barth missed a 46-yard field-goal attempt with three seconds remaining in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Lions. He's missed five of his 16 tries this season, after going 18-for-23 for the Bears in 2016.

Bears' Kyle Fuller: Avoids major injury Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Fuller suffered a cut on his left hand during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Lions and required medical attention after the contest, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Fuller collided with teammate Leonard Floyd while both attempted to make a tackle in the fourth quarter, but Floyd ended up taking the brunt of the hit and could miss significant time due to a right knee injury. The cornerback briefly exited to tend to the hand issue, but later reentered the game, suggesting that he'll likely be back in action Week 12 against the Eagles. Fuller finished Sunday's loss with three tackles and a pass breakup.

Bears' Leonard Floyd: Extended absence likely on tap
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Bears are fearing that Floyd will miss extended time due to the right knee injury he suffered in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Lions, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Floyd was carted off the field in the fourth quarter after he collided with teammate Kyle Fuller while attempting to make a tackle. The second-year linebacker will receive an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of his injury, but Bears head coach John Fox has described the issue as "fairly serious," making it a real possibility that Floyd will be shut down for the season. The Bears relied on a rotation of Pernell McPhee, Sam Acho and Isaiah Irving at outside linebacker following Floyd's departure Sunday.
