Cowboys' Mike Nugent: Tallies nine points
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Nugent converted all three of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 37-9 loss to the Eagles.

Nugent accounted for the entirety of Dallas' points, bringing his tally to 29 points in four appearances while Dan Bailey (groin) has been sidelined. With Bailey returning as a limited practice participant Monday, Nugent's fantasy stock for Thursday's game versus the Chargers will depend on whether the Cowboys' usual kicker is able to be cleared in time for kickoff.

Cowboys' Jeff Heath: Full walk-through Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Heath (concussion) was listed as a full participant on Monday's estimated injury report, Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site reports.

The Cowboys went through a walk-through rather than an actual practice, but Heath displayed an ability to handle every rep thrown his way. Nevertheless, his status should be watched in advance of Thursday's game against the Chargers, as logging a full session doesn't necessarily mean a player has passed through the entire concussion protocol.

Cowboys' Dan Bailey: Listed as limited Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bailey (groin) was listed as limited on the Cowboys' estimated injury report Monday, Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site reports.

The appearance at Monday's walk-through marked Bailey's first in any capacity since straining his right groin Week 7. With the Cowboys preparing for their annual game on Thanksgiving, he may be on the cusp of a return after testing his leg with field-goal attempts during pregame warmups Sunday, according the Matthew Martinez of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Only time, and potentially Wednesday's injury report, will tell whether Bailey is poised to end a four-game absence.

Cowboys' Tyron Smith: Expects to play Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Smith (groin/back) expects to play Thursday against the Chargers, Kate Hairopoulos of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Smith has missed each of the past two games and his absence has caused problems for the Cowboys offense, primarily in pass protection. His availability for Thursday's game would be huge news against a Chargers defense boasting two of the top pass rushers in the league, Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram.

Cowboys' Dan Bailey: Inching closer toward return
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bailey (groin) was able to test the strength of his leg on field-goal attempts during warmups Sunday prior to the Cowboys' 37-9 loss to the Eagles, Matthew Martinez of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. "I'm definitely better than I was," Bailey said after the game. "It's still kind of a day-to-day thing."

Bailey missed his fourth straight game in Week 11, with veteran Mike Nugent once again handling kicking duties for the Cowboys. Nugent has been a capable replacement with a 7-for-9 mark on field-goal tries and an 8-for-8 success rate on extra points, and could stick on the Cowboys' roster to handle longer kicks and kickoffs if Bailey's leg isn't at optimal strength once the latter is deemed ready to return. Before Bailey's status for the Thanksgiving Day game against the Chargers is determined, however, the Cowboys will likely want to see how he fares during practices this week.
