Colts' Brian Schwenke: Headed to preseason PUP
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Schwenke (ankle) will be placed on the Colts' preseason Physically Unable to Perform list when he reports to the team Saturday, Mike Chappell of CBS 4 Indianapolis reports.

Schwenke suffered the right ankle injury near the end of the Colts' offseason program and still hasn't fully recovered. The 26-year-old center is expected to serve in a depth role on the offensive line once healthy.

Colts' Malik Hooker: Opens camp on PUP list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hooker tweaked his hamstring during a conditioning test Monday and will open training camp on the Colts' PUP list, Kevin Bowen of the Colts' official site reports.

The Colts had initially expected Hooker to be good to go for camp after he made a full recovery from offseason labrum and core-muscle surgeries, but it's an unrelated setback that will confine him to the sidelines, at least for the team's first few practices. At this time, the Colts haven't provided any indication that Hooker's injury is anything that will jeopardize the rookie's availability for the start of the regular season, but the prospect of missing out on extended reps in his first NFL training camp could hurt his chances of winning a starting role in Week 1.

Colts' Kendall Langford: Opens training camp on PUP list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Langford (knee) will begin training camp on the Colts' preseason physically unable to perform list, Mike Wells of reports.

While it isn't clear when Langford will return, general manager Chris Ballard said he anticipates the defensive end being ready for the start of the regular season. Until then, Langford's absence should mean more reps in training camp for third-round rookie Tarell Basham.

Colts' Jack Mewhort: Cleared for training camp
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Mewhort (knee) will be ready to fully participate in practices when the Colts' training camp begins, Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star reports.

Mewhort finished the 2016 campaign on injured reserve due to a knee injury suffered in December. He was then limited during offseason activities. It looks like the injury won't be a concern for the preseason.

Colts' Malik Hooker: Cleared for training camp
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hooker (hip/sports hernia) will be ready to participate for the start of training camp, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.

Hooker underwent labrum and core-muscle surgeries in January and didn't participate in any of the team's offseason practices. The rookie's full involvement at the start of training camp likely means he'll be a frontrunner for a starting role at safety.
