Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Suffers broken hand Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ekeler was diagnosed with a broken hand following Saturday's 30-13 loss to the Chiefs, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Ekeler picked up the injury in the second half, finishing the outing with 19 yards from scrimmage and a lost fumble. The Chargers have yet to issue a comment on Ekeler's injury, but the expectation is that the rookie running back will miss the rest of the season. His likely absences paves the way for Branden Oliver to reenter the Chargers' backfield mix as the top backup to Melvin Gordon.

Chargers' Russell Okung: Sustains injury Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Okung was removed from Saturday's 30-13 loss to the Chiefs in the second half after sustaining a groin injury, the Associated Press reports.

Okung was one of several Chargers players that exited Saturday's contest with an injury. The Chargers likely won't have an update on his status until the team resumes practicing Wednesday.

Chargers' Adrian Phillips: Leads Chargers in tackles Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Phillips recorded eight tackles (all solo) in Saturday's 30-13 loss to the Chiefs.

Phillips exited in the third quarter with an ankle injury, but he was able to return and still played 52 of 66 defensive snaps. The 25-year-old hasn't produced similar tackles totals throughout the season and is not a trustworthy IDP option at this point.

Chargers' Denzel Perryman: Could be shut down with hamstring injury
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Perryman is believed to have suffered a hamstring tendon strain in Saturday's 30-13 loss to the Chiefs, an injury that could sideline him for the rest of the season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Perryman will undergo an MRI on Sunday to gain further clarity on the extent of his injury, but it seems likely that he'll miss some time after he needed to be carted off the field in the Week 15 loss. The Chargers had already been without Perryman's services for the first eight games of the season while he recovered from left ankle surgery. Jatavis Brown is next in line to pick up snaps at linebacker if Perryman is withheld from the Chargers' final two regular-season contests.

Chargers' Corey Liuget: Could miss time with knee injury
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Liuget could be at risk of missing the Chargers' Week 16 matchup with the Jets after suffering a knee injury in Saturday's 30-13 loss to the Chiefs, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Liuget was deemed questionable to return after exiting in the third quarter with the injury, but he wasn't ultimately able to make it back on the field. The Chargers will presumably reevaluate Liuget on Sunday or Monday, at which point the team should have a better idea regarding his availability for Week 16. Though he only has 21 stops and 1.5 sacks in 12 appearances this season, Liuget plays a more important role in stuffing the run than his statistics let on.
