Jets' Taylor Bertolet: Slated for kicking duties during preseason
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Bertolet will handle all of the Jets placekicking duties while Cairo Santos (groin) remains sidelined, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports.

A rookie out of Texas A&M, Bertolet would likely require a strong training camp to unseat Santos for the starting gig. He will be afforded an opportunity to do so with Santos sidelined and connected on his only field-goal attempt during the first preseason tilt.

Jets' Terrelle Pryor: Won't play Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Pryor (ankle/hip) will not play in Thursday's preseason game against Washington, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.

Pryor relayed Monday that he broke his ankle in May, which further explains his limitations at practice through camp thus far. Moreover, the wideout has had to contend with some hip issues as he gets accustomed to amping up his running. Pryor aims to play at some point in preseason, but for now, he'll continue to ease back into things by continuing to work on a controlled snap count at practice.

Jets' Jordan Leggett: Works on side at Sunday's practice
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Leggett (undisclosed) was back at practice Sunday but was limited to work on the sideEric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.

Leggett's return to the practice field indicates that he is close to a return to full-scale action. As long as he remains out of team activities, expect Eric Tomlinson and Neal Sterling to see increased snaps with the first string offense at tight end.

Jets' Kevin Pierre-Louis: Receives one-game ban
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Pierre-Louis was given a one-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.

Pierre-Louis was arrested for marijuana possession in January, which is where the suspension originates from. The 26-year-old will likely serve as a special teams player and rotational inside linebacker for the Jets after setting a career high with 41 total tackles with Kansas City last season.

Jets' Dimitri Flowers: Makes three-yard catch Friday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Flowers caught his lone target for three yards in Friday's 17-0 win over the Falcons to open the preseason.

The undrafted free agent has excellent hands for a fullback. Look for New York to keep him involved in the passing game throughout the preseason.
