Eagles' Zach Ertz: No limitations Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ertz (concussion) practiced in full Wednesday.

Ailments have plagued Ertz during the second half of the season, forcing two absences and only one outing with more than 25 yards in five chances to suit up. Earlier Wednesday, he received clearance from the concussion protocol and will thus begin preparation for Sunday's road matchup with the Giants, who he torched for eight catches, 55 yards and one touchdown Week 3.

Eagles' Carson Wentz: Undergoes surgery Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Wentz underwent surgery in Pittsburgh on Wednesday to repair the torn ACL in his left knee, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports.

The Eagles have yet to issue an update following Wentz's procedure, but the expectation is that the surgery went as anticipated. A clearer timetable on Wentz's return to full football activities should emerge at some point during the offseason, but if his rehab goes according to plan, there's a good chance the franchise signal caller will be ready to play Week 1 of the 2018 season. The Eagles will turn to Nick Foles to start the final three games of the regular season and for the duration of the team's postseason run.

Eagles' Zach Ertz: Cleared from concussion protocol
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ertz was cleared from the league's concussion protocol Wednesday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Ertz was close to taking the field ahead of Sunday's eventual win over the Rams before ultimately being ruled inactive, but his clearance from the concussion protocol puts him on track to return to action Week 15 against the Giants. Though the Eagles churned out three touchdowns from their tight ends last week (two from Trey Burton, one from Brent Celek), Ertz, who will participate in Wednesday's practice, will likely take back the bulk of the snaps at the position upon his return to game action.

Eagles' Bryan Braman: Signs with Eagles
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Braman agreed to a contract with the Eagles on Tuesday, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.

Braman was recently waived/injured by the Saints prior to the start of the season. He spent three years with the Eagles before that. The 30-year-old is mainly expected to contribute on special teams.

Eagles' Carson Wentz: Placed on injured reserve
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Eagles placed Wentz (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.

Wasting no time with manipulation of the 53-man roster, Wentz is heading to season-ending IR due to the torn left ACL stemming from Sunday's road win against the Rams. He awaits surgery on the region, at which point doctors can map out a recovery timetable. Assuming he lands within the typical 9-to-12 month plan, his return could occur between mid-August and mid-November. With the Eagles eyeing the No. 1 seed in the NFC side of the postseason, head coach Doug Pederson will trust in Nick Foles to achieve that goal.
