Corey Potter handed two-game suspension for boarding Nick Bonino
Oilers defenseman Corey Potter is the latest player to be suspended, receiving two games for boarding Ducks forward Nick Bonino.
Another day, another suspension in the NHL.
The hit in-game warranted a major penalty against Potter and Bonino left the game, but only for a short while before he returned. Still, the hit was bad enough as Potter followed Bonino from behind before shoving him into the boards from a dangerous distance. By now it should be more than clear that this is a suspension-worthy hit in the game today.
Potter has played nine games this season, recording three assists in less than an average of 14 minutes per game.
