Coyotes vs. Flames odds, line: NHL picks, predictions from proven model on 24-14 run
SportsLine's advanced computer model simulated Flames vs. Coyotes 10,000 times
The puck drops on the Monday NHL schedule at 4 p.m. ET when the Arizona Coyotes travel to the Scotiabank Saddledome to take on the Calgary Flames. The Flames enter play Monday tied with the Sharks on top of the Pacific Division with 77 points, while the Coyotes remain very much alive in the NHL playoff picture as they are just three points out of the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference. The latest Flames vs. Coyotes odds show Calgary at -238 on the money line (wager $238 to win $100), with the over-under for total goals Vegas expects set at six. Before making any Flames vs. Coyotes picks of your own, be sure to check out the NHL predictions from SportsLine's proven model.
This model, which simulates every game 10,000 times, returned over $3,000 to $100 players on its top-rated picks last season, and it entered Week 21 of the 2018-19 NHL season on a strong 24-14 run on top-rated NHL side picks either on the puck line or on the money line.
Now the model has dialed in on Flames vs. Coyotes. We can tell you it is leaning over, and it has found plenty of value on one side of the money line. That pick is only available at SportsLine.
The model has taken into account that the Flames bounced back with a 5-4 victory over the Penguins in their last outing. They had lost four straight in a trough stretch that included matchups against Stanley Cup contenders San Jose and Tampa Bay.
That five-goal outburst against the Penguins showed Calgary's offensive capabilities. The Flames rank second in the NHL in goals per game at 3.66, and they've been extremely tough on the power play as well, converting on 22.6 percent of opportunities, good for sixth in the league. Left wing Johnny Gaudreau (29 goals, 49 assists) leads the way in offensive categories, but Calgary has goal-scoring prowess up and down its lineup with Elias Lindholm (25 goals), Sean Monahan (29 goals) and Matthew Tkachuk (24 goals) among the other top threats.
But just because Calgary can pile up goals in a hurry doesn't mean it is the best value on the money line Monday.
The Coyotes have made huge strides in the 2018-19 NHL season, turning their fortunes around after being one of the worst teams in the NHL last season. They collected just 70 total points all of 2017-18, but enter play on Monday with 57, putting them squarely in the playoff conversation.
And based on recent results, the Coyotes are playing better than the Flames as they have won three of their past four games, including impressive victories over the Maple Leafs and Golden Knights, returning multiple big payouts on the money line for backers.
So who wins Flames vs. Coyotes? And which side of the money line has all the value? Visit SportsLine now to see which side of the money line you should be all over, all from the advanced model that has crushed its NHL picks, and find out.
