Jarret Stoll scores overtime winner for Kings (Video)
Jarret Stoll was the hero for the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday night scoring the game-winning goal in overtime to push them into the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The Los Angeles Kings eliminated the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday night with a 2-1 overtime win, knocking out the Presidents' Trophy winners in five games.
In the end, it was a pretty swift and convincing series win, and it was capped off with a thrilling Game 5.
The game-winning goal in the series belonged to Jarret Stoll, and it came on this rocket of a wrist shot 4:27 into the period. It was Stoll's second goal of the series.
That was Canucks defenseman Dan Hamhuis that was guilty of the turnover at the blue line.
Cory Schneider played a great game in goal for the Canucks and made big save after big save, but didn't get much goal-scoring help from his teammates. And that was the story of the series for Vancouver.
In the five games the Canucks scored just 10 goals, scoring more than two goals in a game just one time.
