Mathew Dumba scores highlight reel goal while sliding on his knees (Video)
Minnesota's top pick, Mathew Dumba, in the 2012 NHL draft scored an impressive goal in the Western Hockey League on Wednesday night.
As a defenseman he has a lot of offensive upside and is coming off a 2011-12 season with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League that saw him score 20 goals to go with 37 assists.
On Wednesday night that offensive upside was on display against the Saskatoon Blades when he picked up a loose puck in his own end of the ice and went on an end-to-end rush that ended with a highlight reel goal. He scored while sliding on one knee, after stickhandling from both knees for about 20 feet.
