Morning buzz

Semyon Varlamov didn't even have the save of the night thanks to this gem from Cam Ward, but this save deserves some love, too.

Losing the room? Sharks coach Todd McLellan isn't quite sure how you even do that but he knows it hasn't happened to him in San Jose. (Mercury News)

Excellent story here about a 14-year-old goalie who gave up 60 goals in game and yet was still the team MVP for that game. (Puck Daddy)

Jay Bouwmeester played the 735th game of his career Tuesday night and still hasn't reached the playoffs. That means he has passed Guy Charron for most games played without making the postseason. The longest drought to start a career is held by JayBo's former teammate in Florida, Olli Jokinen, but that drought ended a few years back. (ESPN)

This season, the injuries have been coming so fast and furious it's tough for us to keep up, but here's a few of the noteworthy ones. The Canadiens announced Tuesday that Rene Bourque is out with a concussion. The scariest part is they aren't quite sure when he sustained it. (Montreal Gazette)

In St. Louis, they had a double-whammy and in practice, no less. Both Alex Steen and Andy McDonald were injured in a "battle drill." The extent of the injuries remains to be seen. (Post-Dispatch)

Lastly, Tye McGinn of the Flyers is going to be out at least two weeks after breaking his face. More specifically, having his orbital bone broken by a Mike Brown punch.
