More NHL offseason: Rumors | Top 50 Free Agents | Top 50 Prospects | Mock Draft

The Edmonton Oilers used the No. 7 overall pick in Sunday's NHL Draft on defenseman Darnell Nurse.

If you're not familiar with Nurse, he was not only one of the top prospects in this year's draft class, he is also the nephew of former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb. Naturally, that was a topic of Nurse's post-draft press conference.

Shortly after his selection Nurse was asked about his draft-day experience compared to McNabb's back in 1999.

McNabb, after being selected with the No. 2 overall pick, was loudly booed by Eagles fans who wanted the team to draft running back Ricky Williams.

"Yeah, we're even," Nurse said. "Because he went higher than me but I didn't get booed at my draft. So we're even."

Works for us.
