San Jose Sharks forward Patrick Marleau was involved in a "serious" car accident on Tuesday in the San Jose area. But you can relax Sharks fans, Marleau is doing fine. He has no injuries to speak of.

As far as any details of the accident, there weren't many available. From Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area:

According to the report, Marleau "was traveling on W. Taylor Street when his Mercedes collided with another vehicle.

"The conditions of the others involved in the accident is unknown at this time."

No matter how it happened, it happened. Proof that Marleau was OK after the accident comes via @GrantLodes and Brodie Brazil. That's Marleau on the left talking with the authorities and his car on the right side with a beatup front end.

While Marleau wasn't injured, there was no word from the team about the status of the person/people in the other car involved in the accident with Marleau. It certainly doesn't look good and hopefully everybody came out OK, not just Marleau.

Marleau, 34, has 10 goals and 10 assists this season in 21 games, averaging nearly 21 minutes of ice time per game. This is 16th season in the NHL, all spent with the Sharks.
