PHOTOS: Greatest collection of Gretzky memorabilia up for auction
A collector of Wayne Gretzky memorabilia is selling some of his stash. Here's a look at the shrine before some of it changes hands.
The world's greatest single collection of Wayne Gretzky memorabilia is about to go up for grabs.
Shawn Chaulk has been collecting the best of the Great One's hockey artifacts and has built quite a shrine in his Alberta home. But now it's time for some of it to go. Who knew it would cost so much to insure some old hockey sticks and jerseys with sweat stains.
Some of the items that will be up for auction: Gretzky's 500th-goal puck, gloves and hats worn during Stanley Cup victories in Edmonton, an old equipment bag and some of Gretzky's old skates.
But before the collection is broken up, have a look at some the greatest Great One dedication. All photos from The Canadian Press via the Globe and Mail.
