Stephane Robidas became a member of the Anaheim Ducks on March 4 when he was traded from Dallas the day before the deadline but he's had to wait to make his debut.

His wait is over. Robidas will play in his first game with the Ducks, and his first game since breaking his right tibia and fibula on November 29, on Tuesday night in Anaheim. The Ducks will host the Washington Capitals where Robidas will be worked into the defensive fold.

"I feel great," Robidas said. "I'm a little nervous, but excited at the same time. I need to keep everything simple. It's a new team for me, and it's the first time [playing] in a while."

Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said that Robidas more than anything will determine how many minutes he plays and what kind of role he is in. They will work him in slowly.

Of the moves the Ducks made at the deadline, Robidas was the big one, especially in terms of additions to the team. Robidas is in his 13th season now but was still a big part of the Stars blue line before his injury. In 24 games he had four goals and an assist while playing 20:55 per game, not far off his career average of 21:30.
