VIDEO: Andrew Shaw scores backhand goal from his knees
Andrew Shaw is closing in on 20 goals this season for the Blackhawks but few will be better than the backhandder from his knees on Tuesday.
As we learned in the Stanley Cup Final, Andrew Shaw loves shin pads. He loves them so much he's now scoring from them.
The Chicago Blackhawks forward was doing his job by parking himself in front of the net on the power play. When a shot from the point caused a scramble and got Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen a bit out of position, Shaw fell to his knees. No biggie, he was able to reach out and fire the puck in behind him for the goal.
It's still early in his career but Shaw is enjoying a career season as this was his 18th goal of the season. Few if any were much better.
