VIDEO: Daniel Sedin hurt after hit into boards, leaves Heritage Classic
Daniel Sedin left the Heritage Classic in the second period after an awkward hit into the boards left him grabbing his leg.
It has been a rough few weeks for the Sedin twins. Henrik was unable to play for Team Sweden in the Olympics because of injury, neither has scored in weeks and then on Sunday at the Heritage Classic, Daniel Sedin went down awkwardly and apparently a lot of pain.
After sitting on the bench for a few minutes, Sedin and the Canucks' training staff made the long walk back toward the dressing room, Sedin moving along gingerly.
The Sedins haven't been scoring lately but that's still close to the last thing the Canucks want to see. They are still arguably Vancouver's best players, certain strong play-makers. Needless to say it's a potentially very big deal for a team that has struggled lately with scoring and is in the thick of a playoff race.
Fingers are crossed all across British Columbia that Daniel will be OK.
