Video: Devils fan burns Zach Parise jersey after he leaves for Minnesota
Some Devils fans didn't take it well when Zach Parise decided to sign with the Minnesota Wild.
So, how did you spend your fourth of July? Probably watching fireworks, cooking on the grill, hanging out with friends and family, or some combination of the above.
If you're Zach Parise, you spent it by signing a brand new 13-year, $98 million contract with the Minnesota Wild to return to your home town and play for the local hockey club. Fun times for everybody.
That is, except for fans of the team that ended up losing what was arguably its best player (as well as its captain) and was a central part of a team that went all the way to the Stanley Cup Final this past season.
Some Devils fans did not take this news well, including this fan that decided to put his Parise jersey in a fire pit and ignite it with a sparkler, then show it to the Internet in all of its glory.
