VIDEO: Jan Sykora latest player to score with lacrosse move
Jan Sykora became the latest hockey player to score using a lacrosse-style move in a game. He did it in an exhibition game against the Czech Republic.
This move isn't as rare as it used to be but it's still pretty cool to see it pulled off in a game.
Even if it's an exhibition game between Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Here is Slovakia's Jan Sykora earlier this week becoming the latest player to pull off the lacrosse-style goal in a game.
Slovakia was down two goals at the time but came back to win the game, 3-2.
And it's not the first time Sykova has successfully pulled off the move. He also did it back in 2009.
Sykora has spent the past several years playing for Banska Bystrica in Slovakia. He scored 19 goals to go with 15 assists in 42 games this season.
Back in February, a North Dakota high school student pulled off a backhanded version and Mikael Granlund did it for the Finnish national team. University of Michigan player Mike Legg is one of the first players to have done it during the 1996 NCAA tournament.
