VIDEO: Nick Bonino scores winner in overtime for Ducks
Nick Bonino gave the Anaheim Ducks a 3-2 win and a 3-2 series lead with his overtime winner on Wednesday night.
The third overtime game of the night on Wednesday ended less than two minutes into the extra period when Anaheim's Nick Bonino scored the game-winning goal for the Ducks to give them a 3-2 win in the game, and a 3-2 win in the series.
It capped off yet another phenominal night of playoff action and it moves the Ducks one step closer to knocking off the Red Wings in their Western Conference Quarterfinal series.
Wednesday's game was the third overtime contest of the series with Detroit winning each of the previous two. Sometimes the bounces go your way, and sometimes they don't, and on Wednesday night it didn't go the right way for Detroit as Jimmy Howard had absolutely no chance on that winning goal.
Bonino only scored five goals for the Ducks during the regular season but his overtime goal in Game 5 was already his third of the playoffs, having scored in each of Anaheim's three wins.
