VIDEO: Slava Voynov wins Game 5 in overtime for Kings
Los Angeles Kings defenseman Slava Voynov scored the game-winning goal in overtime on Wednesday night.
After losing the first two games of the Western Conference Quarterfinal series against St. Louis, the Los Angeles Kings have roared back to win three in a row and push the Blues to the brink of elimination with a 3-2 overtime win on Wednesday night.
The game-winning goal came from defenseman Slava Voynov as he joined an odd-man rush and somehow snuck a shot through Blues goalie Brian Elliott.
Los Angeles now has a chance to close out the series on Friday night at the Staples Center.
Goaltending has been an issue for the Blues this season and that's not a goal you want to see your starter giving up in a key game of a playoff series.
The Kings, meanwhile, are starting to get on a roll at the right time.
