The Nashville Predators lost to the Edmonton Oilers, 3-2, on Sunday night, and this is the play that received the most attention. For all the wrong reasons.

Let's just ask the question: What the hell was Sergei Kostitsyn thinking here when he went for a line change right in the middle of this play?

Come. On. When it comes to bad plays, it doesn't get much worse than that.

He basically just quit on the play -- no exaggeration on the word "quit" -- leaving his defenseman out on an island by himself for a 2-on-1 rush the other way. Naturally, Edmonton scored a shorthanded goal. In a game that's decided by one goal that's obviously a pretty big deal.

Not good. Not good at all.
