The Ice Bucket Challenge has reached millions of people and has helped raise awareness for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, at a level never before seen. Though the videos of participants dumping ice water over their heads have gotten increasingly unique, it is hard to believe anyone will come close to topping Paul Bissonnette’s challenge.

Accepting the challenge from Keith Yandle, the former Arizona Coyotes enforcer who goes by @BizNasty2point0 on his popular Twitter feed utilized a helicopter, glacier water and unfortunately, a speedo.

The resulting video is perhaps the most epic (and I don’t use that overused word lightly) challenge to date.

The popular pugilist challenged LeBron James, Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson to accept the challenge and after a video that insane, they had better accept.

Say what you will about the Ice Bucket Challenge. It has had its fair share of criticism questioning what it’s really doing. But the movement inspired by former Boston College pitcher Pete Frates is absolutely achieving its intended purpose.

By creating more awareness for ALS and research to fight the disease, ALS donations are on the rise.

From the AP:

The ALS Association's national president, Barbara Newhouse, said donations to the national office surged during the 10-day period that ended Thursday, to about $160,000, from $14,480 during the same period a year ago. That's not counting donations to chapter offices around the country, Newhouse said.

"It's just been wonderful visibility for the ALS community," Newhouse said. "It is absolutely awesome. It's crazy, but it's awesome, and it's working."

And now the movement now has its greatest video to date.

Bissonnette is currently awaiting a new contract after he was not re-signed by the Coyotes. Recent reports have him tied to the Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins and Minnesota Wild as possible suitors.
