It's been a rough year for the Florida Panthers and they entered Thursday's game in Philadelphia riding a five-game losing streak.

One of the bright spots for the Panthers has been the sometimes-dazzling play of rookie forward Jonathan Huberdeau.

He was at it again midway through the first period on Thursday when he destroyed Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov on a penalty shot to give the Panthers a 3-0 lead. All three goals came less than three minutes apart.

Bryzgalov was so disgusted after that he threw his stick against the glass behind the net.

It wouldn't be the only time he launched a piece of his equipment on Thursday as he was pulled after giving up another goal in the second period and launched his stick down the tunnel to the locker room before kicking the walls.

Bryzgalov's first season in Philadelphia was a bitter disappointment, and year two hasn't been much better. Not only that, because the Flyers have no depth at the position behind him, he's had to appear in 17 of the Flyers' first 19 games.

This penalty shot also wasn't the first time this season Huberdeau was able to get the best of Bryzgalov. Two weeks ago in a shootout, the Panthers rookie used another smooth move to fake the Flyers goalie out of his crease.

Huberdeau hasn't been in the NHL long, but he's already proving to be a problem for Bryzgalov.
