So you’re the Los Angeles Kings. You’re playing in the Western Conference Final for the third straight year. You’re playing against the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks and the series is tied 1-1. Game 3 is going to be an emotional one, so who do you get to ratchet things up a notch? You gotta go big, right?

The Kings did by inviting former Guns ‘N’ Roses guitarist Slash to shred the National Anthem on guitar. And shred he did.

Joined by sergeant from the U.S. Marine Corps, the top-hat wearing rock guitarist brought it for the Star Spangled Banner, giving Game 3 that big-time feel it deserved.
