Blackhawks' Patrick Kane: Sets up lone goal in defeat |
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com |
(4/7/18) Kane set up Erik Gustafsson's goal in the third period of Friday's 4-1 loss to St. Louis. It's been a rotten year for the Blackhawks, but Kane has still been a solid player even in what's been a down year by his lofty standards. He'll finish with his lowest points-per-game since 2012, but he's still managed to reach 75 points in an otherwise lost year in the Windy City. |
Blackhawks' Patrick Kane: Putting together strong March |
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com |
(3/30/18) Kane potted a goal and added an assist during Thursday's 6-2 win over Winnipeg. It's been a disappointing season for Kane and the Blackhawks. He's in danger of failing to score at a point-per-game pace for the first time since the 2011-12 campaign, and his minus-18 rating is also a career-worst mark. Still, with everything crumbling around him, Kane's 27 goals and 47 assists are solid numbers. Additionally, while there's a chance he's past his offensive prime, the 29-year-old winger should continue to be viewed as one of the most reliable scorers in the league. |
Blackhawks' Patrick Kane: Stretches point streak to four games |
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com |
(3/17/18) Kane picked up two assists in a 5-3 loss to Buffalo on Saturday. The points extended his current scoring streak to four games and six points, including five assists. Kane has 12 points, including 10 helpers, in his last 10 games and 69 points in 72 games. Aside from his outstanding 2015-16 where he tallied 106 points, Kane has been a fairly consistent point-per-game player. Kane is 29 years old and certainly has several more excellent seasons in him. |
Blackhawks' Patrick Kane: Posts two points |
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com |
(3/12/18) Kane scored a power-play goal and added an assist in a 3-1 victory over the Bruins on Sunday. The former MVP is having a strong start to March, as he has two goals and eight points in seven games this month. But Kane needs even more to make up for his subpar February. In large part because of that poor month, Kane could finish with less than a point per game for the first time since 2011-12. |
Blackhawks' Patrick Kane: On modest three-game, five-point streak |
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com |
(3/3/18) Kane scored an empty-net goal and added two assists on the power play in a 5-3 win over Los Angeles on Saturday. Kane is riding a three-game, five-point scoring streak that includes four assists, and he also has nine points (three goals, six helpers) in his last seven games. Prior to that, Kane had suffered through a five-game drought. He does have 62 points in 65 games, but they haven't been enough to elevate his Hawks to a postseason berth. |
