  • Canucks' Daniel Sedin: Multi-point effort against Bruins

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/18/18) Sedin scored for the second straight game and had an assist in Saturday's win over Boston.

Sedin is riding a four-game point streak and is now up to 15 goals and 37 points in 58 games. The Canucks won't be making the playoff this season, but Sedin is still finding a way to deliver for fantasy goers. His steady production makes him worth owning in many fantasy settings.

    Canucks' Daniel Sedin: Notches assist

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/12/18) Sedin recorded an assist during a 6-0 victory over Dallas on Sunday.

Following the minor back injury he suffered in mid January, Sedin has recorded three goals and an assist in 11 games, and has been skating with Henrik Sedin and Thomas Vanek on the first line recently. Sedin's also been receiving heavy power-play minutes, averaging 2:52 of ice time during the last 10 games while recording two points on the man advantage during the span. He currently sits at 14 power-play points on the season -- tied for second most on the Canucks. The 37-year-old's days of surpassing 60 points are certainly fading, but with 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) in 32 games, he's inching closer to hitting the 40-point mark for the 14th straight season.

Canucks' Daniel Sedin: Wants to play one more season

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/20/18) Both Sedin twins would like to play one more season, reports Sportsnet.ca. They are unrestricted free agents this summer.

It was widely assumed this would be Daniel and Henrik's last season. "While there hasn't been discussions yet with the Canucks about an extension, the belief is they both want to be back for an 18th NHL season," said Sportsnet.ca's Chris Johnston on CBC's Saturday Headlines. Daniel is fourth on the Orcas with 27 points, including 10 goals, heading into action Saturday.

Canucks' Daniel Sedin: Ready as expected

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/20/18) Sedin (back) will return Saturday against the Oilers, NHL.com reports.

As usual, Sedin will slot in alongside his twin brother Henrik in a top-six capacity. Loui Eriksson projects to be the opposite flanker as the Canucks attempt to get stronger in the attacking zone -- Vancouver is ranked eighth on the power play, but tied with Detroit and Columbus for 26th place in goals per game at 2.6.

Canucks' Daniel Sedin: Back issue behind him

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/19/18) Sedin is no longer dealing with the back spasms that caused him to miss last Sunday's game.

Sedin appears good to go heading into Saturday's matchup, but that should be confirmed when the lines are released during warmups, if not before then. The veteran winger has been on a bit of a point binge, racking up two goals and three assists over his last four tilts. He should slot back into his normal top-six role with the Canucks on Saturday assuming his back doesn't act up again.
