Drewiske has reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Drewiske served as some insurance along the blue line over the past week, but failed to draw into any contests. He'll now return to the AHL, where he's collected one assist in nine games this season.
Drewiske was recalled by the Flyers on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old hasn't played in the NHL since 2012-13 when he played 29 games for the Kings and Canadiens. This season, the former Wisconsin Badger has one assist and two penalty minutes in nine games while posting an even rating. He should serve as the extra defenseman for the Flyers.
Drewiske (wrist) signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Flyers on Wednesday, Tim Riday of CSN Philadelphia reports.Drewiske appeared in 62 games for AHL Hamilton in the Canadiens organization before March wrist surgery ended his season prematurely. It's not certain if he'll be ready to contribute for Flyers' minor-league squad at Lehigh Valley when the 2015-16 campaign begins.
