Pysyk posted an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights.
The defenseman-turned-winger ended a five-game point drought with his assist. Pysyk has now matched his career high in points with 17, which he also achieved in his first year with the Panthers (2016-17). The 28-year-old has added 44 hits, 35 blocks and 56 shots in 51 games this year. Outside of positional flexibility, there's little reason for fantasy owners to consider Pysyk for their rosters.
Pysyk scored a goal and added two assists in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Devils.
The Panthers' makeshift fourth line of Noel Acciardi between two converted blueliners in Pysyk and Mike Matheson came through with another huge effort, as the trio combined for three goals and eight points on the night. Pysyk recorded a hat trick Feb. 3 but he has no other points in his last eight games, and the 28-year-old is a risky fantasy option regardless of his role.
Pysyk scored a hat trick on three shots and was plus-2 in Monday's 5-3 win over Toronto.
That was one of the most unlikely hat tricks in recent NHL history. Playing forward due to injuries, Pysyk scored on all three of his shots, including an empty-netter, to key Florida's comeback from a 3-1 deficit. The 27-year-old entered the night with just 17 goals in 398 career games and had never scored more than four in a single season. Suddenly, he has seven goals and 13 points in 40 games. We wouldn't advise fantasy owners to chase this box score, but it is worth noting that Pysyk has nine points (five goals, four assists) in 11 games since New Year's Eve.
Pysyk registered an assist in Monday's 5-4 win over the Wild.
Pysyk supplied the secondary helper on Noel Acciari's game-winner in the dying seconds of the third period. The 27-year-old has now produced two goals and four assists in his last eight games. Pysyk is up to 10 points and 41 shots on goal in 37 appearances this season.
Pysyk notched an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Maple Leafs.
Pysyk has a goal and three helpers with a plus-4 rating in his last four appearances. He's been used as a left wing lately, and the results are beginning to show, although he's limited to a fourth-line role. Through 34 contests, Pysyk has eight points, 35 shots and 16 PIM this season.
Pysyk took another turn at forward, scoring a goal in a 5-2 win over the Canucks on Thursday.
Head coach Joel Quenneville has used Pysyk as a forward a few times this season, and he managed to score his third goal of the season as the fourth-line left wing Thursday. His ice time has taken a nosedive under Quenneville from averaging 18:16 last season to 13:03 this season, but he has contributed seven points over 33 games.
Pysyk scored a goal on his lone shot and had two PIM in Saturday's 4-2 loss to Boston.
Pysyk got the Panthers on the board early in the third period with his second goal of the season. It was his first tally since Oct. 24, ending a 17-game drought. With just four points in 23 games, the 27-year-old need not be on your fantasy radar.
Pysyk picked up an assist in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Islanders.
After drawing back into the lineup for the first time in four games, Pysyk made his presence felt by using his speed to create a two-on-one breakaway before dishing it to Mike Hoffman who finished off the play with a goal. The 27-year-old blueliner now has three points in 22 games.
Pysyk picked up a shot, two hits and two blocked shots on 20:01 of ice time in a 5-2 win over the Flyers on Tuesday.
After skating a few games as a forward, Pysyk has been back on defense as Mackenzie Weegar (face) continues to sit out. Now on the second pairing, Pysyk hit 20 minutes of ice time for only the second time this season. He has one goal and one assist in 15 games.
Pysyk scored a goal in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Panthers.
It's his first point in five games this season. Coach Joel Quenneville has taken to using Pysyk as a forward rather than a defenseman, but it's too early to tell if the experiment is working. His limited minutes and inconsistent role are enough to keep Pysyk off the fantasy radar.
Pysyk made his season debut in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes, ending the contest a minus-2.
He was inserted into the lineup for Josh Brown on the third pairing but did not have a great showing. Pysyk saw two goals go past him in the first 22 minutes as the Canes went up 5-0 early in the second period. He wound up playing only 12:29 in total and seems to be falling out of favor within the Panthers organization.
Pysyk collected five hits during Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Bruins.
Pysyk also has a shot on goal and two blocks in the contest but ultimately ended the game with a game-worst minus-3 rating. The 27-year-old defenseman is having his worst season statistically since he joined the Panthers in 2016 with only 11 points in 64 games.
Pysyk tallied an assist for his third point in two games during Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.
It is the first time this season that Pysyk has registered a point in back-to-back games after he registered his first multi-point game of the season in Saturday's loss. The 27-year-old defenseman doesn't add much offensively, but he has good peripherals as he is second on the Panthers in both hits (113) and blocks (76).
Pysyk notched an assist during Thursday's 3-2 shootout win over the Flames.
It had been 10 games since Pysyk last collected a point, but he now has seven points -- all assists -- in 45 games this season. He managed to end the night a plus-2 with a season-high 24:58 in ice time.
Pysyk collected five hits during a 5-1 loss to the Penguins on Tuesday.
Although Pysyk has been a physical presence on the Panthers -- he's currently fourth on the team with 61 hits -- he has not made an impact in the offensive zone. Through 30 games the 26-year-old has five points -- all assists -- while collecting a minus-2 rating.
Pysyk recorded an assist during a 4-3 loss to the Blues on Tuesday.
The assist marks Pysyk's first point since mid-October as the blueliner had gone 12 games without a point on top of missing time with an injury. He has three points in total on the season and is on pace to end his season in the mid-teens in points, as he has the past two seasons.
Pysyk started for the first time in 11 games in a 4-2 loss to the Rangers on Saturday.
His first six games were missed due to an upper-body injury, but Pysyk has been a healthy scratch since then. Head coach Bob Boughner was happy with how his defense was playing until the Panthers got blown out 7-3 by the Blue Jackets on Thursday. Pysyk registered one shot and three hits against the Rangers.
Pysyk (upper body) has been cleared to play, but will remain out of the lineup against the Oilers on Thursday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Pysyk is coming off a six-game absence due to his upper-body issue and will have to wait at least one more night in order to rejoin the lineup. Prior to getting hurt, the blueliner was averaging 18:55 of ice time, in which he tallied two helpers, five shots and six blocks. Whenever Pysyk gets back onto the ice, it will likely be in favor of Bogdan Kiselevich or MacKenzie Weegar.
According to coach Bob Boughner, Pysyk (upper body) has "turned a corner" and will likely be a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup with Edmonton, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Pysyk has missed the Panthers' last six games due to an upper-body injury, so if he's able to return Thursday, he'll likely have some rust to shake off early on. The 26-year-old blueliner enjoyed a nice start to the season, notching two assists in five contests, so he might be worth a look in deeper leagues if he's able to stay healthy.
Pysyk (upper body) will miss a seventh straight game as he'll sit out Thursday's home clash with the Oilers, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
To be clear, Panthers coach Bob Boughner didn't explicitly rule out Pysyk for Thursday's contest, but he did say the defenseman is "still not good to go," which strongly suggests that the seventh-year skater will sit the next one out. Still, even though Pysyk has been out since Oct. 19, he remains on the active roster rather than injured reserve.
