  • Panthers' Harri Sateri: Returns to minor league

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/26/18) Sateri was reassigned to AHL Springfield on Monday, Matthew DeFranks of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

This news could be a sign that Roberto Luongo (lower body) will at least be available as a backup in the evening's road contest against the Islanders. Sateri didn't see the ice after receiving the call-up Saturday because James Reimer went the distanced versus the Coyotes.

Panthers' Harri Sateri: Slated for backup duty in Florida

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/24/18) Sateri will back up James Reimer against the Coyotes on Saturday, Matthew DeFranks of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Sateri is on loan from the team's top developmental affiliate, AHL Springfield. The Finn's ascension to the parent club was necessitated by an upper-body injury to No. 1 goalie Roberto Luongo. Originally nabbed by the Sharks with a fourth-round (106th overall) draft pick in 2008, Sateri looks like an emergency option for a Panthers club feverishly trying to claw its way toward a playoff spot. He's gone 4-4-0 with a 2.92 GAA and .911 save percentage as a rookie.

Panthers' Harri Sateri: Headed back to minors

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/14/18) Sateri is no longer listed on the Panthers roster, per the NHL media site.

With Roberto Luongo (lower body) being activated off injured reserve, Sateri became the odd man out and should rejoin AHL Springfield. During his first NHL stint, the 28-year-old earned a 4-4-0 record with a .911 save percentage. While James Reimer has the inside track as the long-term replacement for Luongo, Sateri's performance could open the door for him to challenge for some additional playing time in the future.

Panthers' Harri Sateri: Keeps it rolling with another victory

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/7/18) Sateri stopped 26 of 27 shots in Tuesday's win over the Canucks.

The Panthers have won four straight games and Sateri has been in the crease for all of them. The 28-year-old has really stepped up to the plate recently with Roberto Luongo and James Reimer both sidelined with lower-body injuries. His mediocre .914 save percentage is reflective of his lackluster play in January, but Sateri has been red-hot of late of late and has allowed just six goals during the winning streak. The Finnish netminder makes for a great fantasy pick-up while he remains the starter in Florida.

Panthers' Harri Sateri: Occupying goal Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/6/18) Sateri will start in net for Tuesday night's contest against the Canucks, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Sateri's stint as the de facto starter began poorly with three straight four-plus-goal losses, but he has since righted the ship, winning his last three starts while allowing two goals or fewer in each en route to a .946 save percentage over that span. The young Finn will look to take advantage of another mediocre offense when Vancouver comes to town, as the team averages just 2.63 goals per game.
