Wild's Joseph Cramarossa: Agrees to one-year deal
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Wild on Friday.

Cramarossa hasn't played an NHL game since the 2016-17 season. Last year, he played 51 AHL games and posted seven goals, eight assists and 136 PIM, so he's expected to report to AHL Iowa next season.

Blackhawks' Joseph Cramarossa: Traded to Chicago
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Penguins traded Cramarossa to the Blackhawks in exchange for Graham Knott on Wednesday.

Knott is currently playing in the ECHL and Cramarossa hasn't appeared in an NHL contest since 2016-17, so this is just a swap of organizational depth pieces. Both players will report to their new clubs' minor-league affiliates.

Penguins' Joseph Cramarossa: Secures extension
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract extension with Pittsburgh on Friday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Cramarossa spent the entire season in the minors with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, in which he tallied four goals, 12 assists and 116 PIM in 56 outings. The 26-year-old hasn't appeared in an NHL game since 2016-17 when he was with Vancouver and likely won't make the Penguins' 23-man roster coming out of training camp.

Penguins' Joseph Cramarossa: Added to Pittsburgh's system
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa signed a contract with the Penguins on Wednesday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports, adding that the forward was subsequently waived in a procedural move.

As noted by LeBrun, Cramarossa needed to go on waivers in order for the Pens to assign him to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. A third-round (65th overall) draft choice (by Anaheim) in 2011, Cramarossa has jumped around several league levels and minor-league franchises, including his depositing 10 points (four goals, six assists) and 60 PIM between stints with the Ducks and Cancuks.

Joseph Cramarossa: Let go from PTO
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa was cut by the Flames on Wednesday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Cramarossa was limited to just 10 games with Vancouver during the 2016-17 campaign, and he failed to secure a point while averaging a mere 10:35 of ice time. The 24-year-old likely lost out to Mark Jankowski -- a training-camp standout -- for a spot on the 23-man roster.

Flames' Joseph Cramarossa: Inks PTO with Calgary
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa signed a professional tryout agreement with the Flames on Tuesday.

Last season, Cramarossa added 10 points and 51 PIM over 49 games with the Ducks, but the Ontario native was held off the scoresheet entirely over 10 contests with the Canucks. Players that hop around the league on PTOs generally aren't viewed as viable fantasy options, and Cramarossa doesn't appear to be an exception to the rule.

Canucks' Joseph Cramarossa: Out again against Kings
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa (foot) won't play Friday against the Kings.

This will be Cramarossa's fifth game missed with this injury. However, in the 14 games prior, he didn't notch a single point, so the fantasy impact here is negligible.

Canucks' Joseph Cramarossa: Unlikely for rest of road trip
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa (foot) is having trouble walking and is unlikely to play the rest of the Canucks' road trip.

It appears that the ailment Cramarossa sustained will be enough to keep him out multiple games, making him the seventh Vancouver forward dealing with an injury of some kind. Regardless, the 24-year-old hasn't posted a point since Feb. 14, so he is not on the fantasy radar in the majority of formats.

Canucks' Joseph Cramarossa: Unable to practice Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa missed practice Wednesday due to a right foot injury, Dave Tomlinson of TSN 1040 reports.

Cramarossa reportedly sustained the injury after getting in the way of a shot during Tuesday's overtime win over the Blackhawks. The rookie winger, who has 10 points in 49 games, will be reevaluated ahead of Thursday's road match with the Blues.

Canucks' Joseph Cramarossa: Claimed by Vancouver
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa was claimed off waivers by Vancouver on Wednesday, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.

While hockey fans are mostly interested in seeing which NHL stars swap jerseys ahead of Wednesday's trade deadline, minor transactions such as this one involving Cramarossa commonly transpire. Simply put, the Canadian forward didn't get enough rink run with the Ducks, as he averaged a mere 9:49 of ice time over 49 games. However, he's likely to be thrown into the mix with the Canucks immediately, as the team has had to hold several players out of the starting lineup due to the mumps.

Ducks' Joseph Cramarossa: Placed on waivers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Ducks waived Cramarossa on Tuesday,'s Pierre LeBrun reports.

Cramarossa has only notched 10 points while averaging just under 10 minutes of ice time in 49 games with the Ducks this season, so this move doesn't come as much of a surprise. The 24-year-old forward will likely be assigned to AHL San Diego if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

Ducks' Joseph Cramarossa: Scores game-winning goal against Wild
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa scored the only goal during Tuesday's win over Minnesota.

It was the first goal in 16 games for the 24-year-old forward, and with just four tallies and 10 points through 45 games this season, Cramarossa's fantasy value is limited. It's safe to leave him to the waiver wire in seasonal leagues and fade him in daily contests.

Ducks' Joseph Cramarossa: Collects shorthanded helper
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa registered a shorthanded assist during Monday's win over Winnipeg.

The 24-year-old rookie has just eight points -- three goals -- through 38 games and is averaging only 10:03 of ice time per outing. He's locked into a bottom-six role and isn't receiving many power-play looks, so his fantasy value will remain limited without a promotion up the depth chart. It's safe to fade Cramarossa in most fantasy settings.

Ducks' Joseph Cramarossa: Chips in shorthanded assist
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa recorded a shorthanded assist during Friday's loss to Vancouver.

It was just the sixth point through 26 games for Cramarossa, and with an average of only 10:07 of ice per night, the rookie doesn't present a lot of fantasy value. It will take an uptick in minutes and offensive production for him to warrant consideration in the virtual game.

Ducks' Joseph Cramarossa: In lineup Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa (knee) is in the lineup Sunday against Calgary and is no longer listed on injured reserve.

Cramarossa skated at practice Saturday morning but nothing had been mentioned about his impending return to game action. Nonetheless, he's good to go and skating on the third line with Antoine Vermette and Ondrej Kase looking to build on his three points in 13 games this season.

Ducks' Joseph Cramarossa: Placed on IR
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa (lower body) is listed on injured reserve, per the NHL's official media site.

Cramarossa has missed the past two games. Not much has been made of the injury, but we do know that he had been leveled in a collision with teammate Rickard Rakell in a contest against the Devils on Nov. 17. He'll be eligible to return once healthy.

Ducks' Joseph Cramarossa: Misses game Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa (lower body) was scratched from Sunday night's game against the Kings.

Cramarossa will miss his first game of the season after sustaining the injury during Thursday's win over the Oilers. The Ducks have not established a timeline for the 24-year-old's return yet, so expect an update on his status when he is ready to go.

Ducks' Joseph Cramarossa: Labeled day-to-day
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa has been classified as day-to-day with a lower-body injury, Curtis Zupke of the Los Angeles Times reports.

It remains to be seen if Cramarossa will be good to go for Sunday's rivalry game against the Kings, but if he can't then expect Ryan Garbutt or the recently called up Ondrej Kase to see more ice time. The 24-year-old pivot has mostly been a fantasy afterthought this season with only one goal and two assists through 13 games.

Ducks' Joseph Cramarossa: Pancaked in Thursday's game
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa sustained an undisclosed injury in Thursday's game against the Devils, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Cramarossa was flattened in a collision with teammate Rickard Rakell and left the ice after taking only five shifts. It doesn't appear that he's going to return, but the fantasy community should expect the team to shed light on his status in the coming days. The Ducks don't play again until Sunday, when the Kings visit Anaheim.

Ducks' Joseph Cramarossa: Picks up helper during loss to Blue Jackets
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cramarossa collected a third-period assist and a plus-2 rating over 13:49 of ice time during Wednesday's loss to Columbus.

The rookie is receiving a slight uptick in minutes of late after averaging just 9:29 through his first four games. With 20 hits and 20 PIM, Cramarossa is moving the needle in those supporting statistics, but with just a single goal and assist through nine games, don't count on much offense going forward.
