Jaromir Jagr: Suiting up in Czech League
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr -- who has been dealing with a knee issue -- will play for Rytiri Kladno in the Czech second league Monday, Zdenek Janda of Denik Sport reports.

While a return to the NHL is probably off the table at this point, as long as the 47-year-old legend continues to play hockey, there will no doubt continue to be speculation of Jagr making a return. The world-class winger conveniently owns the Czech team, so his inclusion in the lineup is probably a guarantee whenever he feels up to suiting up.

Jaromir Jagr: Focusing on recovery
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr -- who missed much of last season due to a knee injury -- isn't concerned about returning to the NHL, Brian Compton of reports.

Jagr told reporters, "My only goal for now is to feel better tomorrow than I felt today and to make it a day-by-day process." While technically a free agent, one has to imagine Kladno would be the leading candidate for his services this season, considering the 45-year-old owns the team. While it may seem like a long shot, it would be unwise to completely rule out another stint in the NHL for the ageless wonder.

Jaromir Jagr: Clears waivers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr cleared waivers Monday and is expected to join HC Kladno in his native Czech Republic, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.

Considering Jagr is a co-owner of Kladno, it probably wasn't a hard sell to secure a spot in the lineup. The 45-year-old was not named to the initial Czech Republic squad for the 2018 Winter Olympics, but it likely isn't too late for him to be added to the team -- if he wants to suit up. Considering no organization submitted a claim for the veteran, one has to imagine this is the end of his NHL career. Jagr is a lock for first ballot Hall of Fame once he becomes eligible.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Placed on waivers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr was waived by the Flames on Sunday in order for him to pursue options in Europe, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Jagr and his agent have been working with the Flames for the last three weeks to find an exit scenario that would be mutually beneficial, and this was their best option. The 45-year-old winger has only suited up for 22 games this year -- missing 27 due to a variety of injuries -- and accrued just one goal and six assists in that span. It's clear that his rental value isn't as high as it was when he posted 46 points last campaign while not missing a game, and the sole purpose of being added to the waiver wire is to terminate Jagr's contract. In other words, it seems that the living legend's NHL career is over, so expect him to head to a European league and be eligible to represent the Czech Republic in the 2018 Winter Olympics. Barring a surprise comeback, Jagr finishes his NHL career with 766 goals and 1,921 points -- second on the all-time list -- in 1,733 games.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Heads to IR
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, Kristen Odland of the Calgary Sun reports.

This injured reserve stint is retroactive to Dec. 31, so he can be activated at any point. However, as a previous report shows, the Flames are looking for a mutually beneficial exit plan for Jagr, so it's unlikely he plays another game for them. It's been over a week since news broke that he'd be leaving Calgary, but there have been no rumbles since about where his next destination will be.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Expected to leave Calgary
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (undisclosed) and his agent are working with the Flames on an exit plan, Elliotte Friedman of NHL Network reports.

It's tough to say for the living legend, but Jagr turns 46 years old Feb. 15, and his age may be catching up with him. Jagr has just one goal and six assists through 22 games this season. His inability to stay healthy is also part of the problem, as he's set to miss his 19th game of the season Saturday against the Ducks. It's possible that Jagr has played his last NHL game, but his agent has been given permission to speak with other NHL clubs. There is also interest from European leagues, which would allow him to suit up for the Czech Republic in the Olympics. Either way, Jagr will go down as one of the best to ever lace 'em up.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Ruled out Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (undisclosed) will not play in Saturday's game against the Ducks, John Shannon of Sportsnet reports.

Jagr missed Thursday's game against the Kings due to the mystery ailment, and will make it two in a row with his absence from the lineup Saturday. Curtis Lazar will draw into the affair in the veteran's place, while Jagr's next opportunity to return arrives Tuesday against the Wild.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Still nursing mystery ailment
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr remains day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

There still wasn't any update on Jagr's status for Saturday's game against the Ducks, and he will likely be a game-time decision. If he can't go, Jagr will presumably be replaced by either Marek Hrivik or Curtis Lazar.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Sitting out Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr will not play in Thursday's game against the Kings, and an update on his status is expected to surface Friday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.

Jagr has played in each of the last three contests after dealing with a lower-body issue, but will not be available Thursday for an undisclosed reason. More information on his status should surface Friday, while either Curtis Lazar or Marek Hrivik will draw into the lineup in his place against Los Angeles.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Ready to return Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) participated in line rushes during pregame warmups, indicating he'll return to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Sharks, Kristen Odland of the Calgary Sun reports.

Jagr will occupy a bottom-six role Thursday, skating with Troy Brouwer and Matt Stajan on the Flames' fourth line. The future hall-of-famer has notched one goal and seven points in 16 games this campaign.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Game-time decision Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) will be a game-time call for Thursday's matchup with the Sharks, Kristen Odland of Postmedia reports.

Jagr's presence on the two-game road trip suggested he was near a return, so it shouldn't come as a huge surprise that the veteran is being considered for Thursday's lineup. An official decision on his availability will likely surface closer to the opening faceoff.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Joining road trip
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) is set to travel with the team on its two-game road trip, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Coach Glen Gulutzan didn't confirm whether Jagr will suit up either Thursday against San Jose or Friday versus Anaheim, but it's certainly an encouraging sign that he will join the team on the trip. The ageless wonder has played in just two of the Flames' previous nine contests due to his lingering lower-body malady. If the winger can get healthy, he should still be capable of chipping in offense to the tune of 30-40 points.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Sitting out Friday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) will not play Friday against the Canadiens.

Jagr continues to deal with a nagging lower-body issue that will cost him his seventh game of the last nine. The veteran winger has performed OK when he has dressed this season, accumulating seven points (one goal, six assists) over 19 contests. Jagr's next opportunity to play arrives Thursday, when the team travels to San Jose to take on the Sharks.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Sidelined again
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) will miss out on Wednesday's tilt with St. Louis.

The second-highest scorer in league history has seemingly been dealing with this malady since signing with Calgary on Oct. 4, having already missed 15 games through four different absences. It's expected that Jagr will be considered day-to-day, but there isn't any information regarding his potential chances to play Friday against Montreal. With Jagr sidelined, Curtis Lazar will enter the lineup and skate on the team's fourth line.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Back at it Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) will return to action for Saturday's home game against the Predators, according to Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

It's been a trying campaign for the 45-year-old winger, as he's been hampered by various lower-body ailments with just one goal surrounding six helpers on his season ledger. However, he's managed to hold his own defensively, based on a plus-7 rating and with consideration to his switching in and out of a top-six role. Still, Jagr is one of the best players in NHL history, and he deserves fantasy consideration so long as he feels well enough to appear in games.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Ruled out against Sharks
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) will not be in the lineup for Thursday's tilt versus San Jose.

Jagr will miss his fifth consecutive game due to his lingering lower-body malady. This season probably isn't panning out as the 45-year-old would have hoped as he has logged a mere 17 of a possible 31 games. As a result, the mullet-sporting veteran has tallied just seven points and could potentially register the lowest point total of his historic career -- his previous low having come in the lockout shortened 2012-13 campaign when he garnered 35 points split between Dallas and Boston.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Absence continues
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) will miss Tuesday's game in Minnesota, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Tuesday will be Jagr's fourth straight omission from the lineup as he's dealt with what seems to be a nagging lower-body injury that has kept him out in different periods this season. Jagr will, however, return to practicing with the team Wednesday which could put him on track to play Thursday against San Jose. Expect another update from the Flames after Wednesday's practice.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Out again Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) will miss a third straight game Saturday.

It seems as though father time may finally be catching up with Jagr, as the 45-year-old winger has already missed 13 games this season due to injury after suiting up for all 82 contests with the Panthers last campaign. However, he's still been a solid source of offense when healthy this year, notching one goal and seven points in 17 games. The Flames should release another update on the future hall-of-famer's status ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Minnesota.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Misses morning skate
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) wasn't on the ice for morning skate Saturday, Roger Millions of Sportsnet reports.

One of the most recognizable names in hockey, Jagr's on track to miss his third straight game and the ninth since signing a one-year pact with the Flames on Oct. 11. However, there's still an outside chance that he takes warmups and attempts to play, but we advise that you prepare alternatives in case he doesn't suit up.

Flames' Jaromir Jagr: Remains out Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Jagr (lower body) won't play in Thursday's game against Montreal, John Lu of reports.

The 45-year-old hockey legend will miss his second straight game with the ailment. In 17 games with the Flames, Jagr has amassed just seven points but owns a plus-7 rating. He will remain day-to-day leading up to Saturday's contest against the Canucks.
