Bigras was placed on waivers Monday.

Bigras is expected to report to AHL Lehigh Valley should he clear the waiver wire. The 25-year-old defenseman posted two goals and 16 points in 39 games with the Phantoms during the 2019-20 season.

Bigras signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Flyers on Monday.

The Rangers opted not to tender Bigras a qualifying offer as a restricted free agent, so he hit the open market and now latches on with the Flyers. Colorado took him in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, but it's clear that the shipped has sailed on his prospect status. In fact, Bigras has only accumulated a goal and three helpers over 46 NHL contests, and the Rangers didn't use him at all at the top level when they signed him to a one-year deal last July.

Bigras didn't receive a qualifying offer from the Rangers on Tuesday.

Bigras was a steady producer from the blue line for AHL Hartford last season, notching 22 points in 52 games, so although his time with the Rangers has likely come to an end, he should be able to land a two-way deal with another organization with relative ease this offseason.

Bigras was designated for waivers by New York on Friday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Bigras was a near lock to be sent down to the minors at some point during training camp. However, the fact he lasted this long bodes well for his chances of earning a call-up at some point this season.

Bigras accepted his qualifying offer with the Rangers for the 2018-19 season Sunday.

After being acquired from the Avalanche last season, Bigras spent the rest of the year with AHL Hartford, scoring two goals and 13 points in 18 games. There's no guarantee he'll have an NHL roster spot for the 2018-19 campaign and can be ignored in nearly all fantasy formats.

Bigras was one of 10 Rangers to receive a qualifying offer. The 23-year-old blueliner has made 46 career NHL appearances with the Avalanche, but he'll be looking for his first action on Broadway in 2018-19.

Bigras was acquired from Colorado in exchange for Ryan Graves on Monday, Jon Lane of NHL.com reports.

A second-round pick in 2013, Bigras has thus far suited up for 46 NHL games in his career, including 15 for Colorado this season. That said, Bigras has been in the minors since late November and will continue his season with the Rangers' AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolfpack. The Canadian blueliner will be hoping that a change of scenery will provide a better chance to establish himself in an NHL lineup.

Bigras was reassigned to AHL San Antonio on Tuesday.

Considering Bigras was a healthy scratch in three of the Avs' last five games and hasn't registered a point since Opening Night, it shouldn't come as a surprise the team opted to demote him. With Anton Lindholm (jaw) healthy, the 22-year-old Bigras will likely spend the bulk of the season with the Rampage developing his game.

Bigras has not registered a point since his Opening Night assist against the Rangers.

In addition to his 13-game pointless streak, Bigras has also served as a healthy scratch on another five occasions. Despite an outstanding OHL career -- which includes a 20-goal, 51-assist campaign in 2014-15 -- the 22-year-old has failed to translate his game to the NHL level. With his offensive contributions limited and his role clearly in doubt, it seems unlikely the defenseman will offer anything more than bottom-end value in only the deepest of formats.

Bigras has averaged just 13:39 of ice time per contest through the first six games of the season.

The 2013 second-round pick plays a low-risk game and will probably remain a depth defenseman for the Avalanche throughout the 2017-18 campaign. While Bigras posted huge offensive numbers in the OHL, his scoring hasn't translated to the professional ranks, and he also doesn't move the needle in any peripheral categories. There's a decent chance he develops into a serviceable NHL player, but it's unlikely he ever makes a significant fantasy impact.

Bigras was sent down to the AHL on Thursday, Terry Frei of the Denver Post reports.

Bigras spent 31 games with the big club last season in Denver, recording just three points. He fared significantly better at AHL San Antonio (19 points in 37 games), which is where he'll suit up -- and receive much more ice time than he would with the Avalanche -- to begin the 2016-17 season. J.T. Compher and fellow blueliner Anton Lindholm were also sent down as part of this round of roster cuts.

Bigras went plus-1 with a goal in Tuesday's preseason win over the Wild.

Bigras looks rejuvenated after dealing with a concussion last March. It's critical for the 21-year-old to protect his noggin, as he's known for his hockey smarts and reliability within the defensive zone, though such traits make him more valuable in "real life" than the fantasy realm.

Sidelined for over a week with a concussion, the Avalanche will regain his services at the perfect time, with only 11 forwards available and the team instead rolling with seven defensemen. It's unclear exactly where the blueliner will slot in, but Bigras remains off the fantasy radar with just two points in 23 games NHL games this season.

Bigras is still dealing with the effects of a concussion dating back to early March, so he'll need to clear the league protocol before a return to the lineup is possible. The 21-year-old blueliner does have 12 points through 38 games this season, but remains off the radar in most fantasy leagues.

Bigras has notched just two points through 23 contests this season so his absence shouldn't hurt fantasy teams too much, except possibly in the deepest of leagues.

It took 21 games, but Bigras finally found the back of the net. While it certainly hasn't been a flashy debut season for the 20-year-old, he has gone plus-5 in 21 games and is averaging just over 13 minutes a night while playing on the third defensive pairing. He's shown flashes of offensive promise in juniors and the AHL, so the 2013 second-round pick has an intriguing NHL future.

Bigras has recorded an assist, collected 10 penalty minutes and skated to a plus-2 rating in his first 15 games in the NHL.

The 20-year-old defenseman isn't making a significant impact in the box score and likely won't be in a fantasy lineup in the near future but has been gaining invaluable experience at the NHL level. With the Avs in need of defensive talent, Bigras has found himself in a position to showcase his defensive prowess while skating on the third defensive pairing alongside Zach Redmond and Andrew Bodnarchuk. While he is still in a developmental phase and lacks big minutes, Bigras will be a major part of the Avs' defensive future.

Bigras, who has six goals and 13 assists in 37 games with San Antonio this season, will be skating in his first NHL game Thursday.
