The Golden Knights recalled Goulbourne to the taxi squad Wednesday.
The 27-year-old spent all of last season in the minors, recording just three points in 53 games for AHL Chicago. In two games this season with AHL Henderson, Goulbourne has gone pointless, but has 15 PIM. After Tomas Nosek was placed in the league's COVID-19 protocol Wednesday, Goulbourne will add depth to the forward group.
Goulbourne signed a two-year contract with the Golden Knights on Monday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
The first year of Goulbourne's contract is two way, but it turns into a one-way deal the following season, which suggests the Golden Knights believe he might be ready for a regular NHL role in 2020-21. The 25-year-old winger will, however, almost certainly spend the majority of the upcoming campaign in the minors, so there's no reason for fantasy owners to track his status.
Philadelphia assigned Goulbourne to AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
The Flyers activated Michael Raffl (lower body) off injured reserve Tuesday, so they're no longer in need of Goulbourne's services as a depth forward. The 24-year-old will continue to be one of the first skaters the big club turns to when it's in need of reinforcements up front, but he won't have any fantasy value in 2018-19.
Goulbourne was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Thursday.
The Edmonton native probably doesn't celebrate American Thanksgiving, but he has a lot to be thankful for on this Turkey Day. Goulbourne and Nicolas Aube-Kubel -- who was sent down to the AHL to make room for Goulbourne -- both have zero NHL points in exactly nine appearances, so this move is unlikely to make much of a difference in fantasy circles.
Goulbourne was loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
An energetic second-year winger, Goulbourne was recalled ahead of an Oct. 30 road contest against the Ducks, but he didn't tag in for his season debut in that game or the three that followed. Still, Goulbourne's time could come soon enough since the Flyers took him in the third round (72nd overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Goulbourne hasn't dressed since the Flyers recalled him to the NHL on Oct. 28.
The Flyers recalled Goulbourne and Nicolas Aube-Kubel at about the same time, but Aube-Kubel has drawn the spot in the starting lineup. Goulbourne has yet to leave the press box for a game. Last season, Goulbourne didn't register a point in nine NHL games. He is only useful in dynasty formats.
Goulbourne was recalled by the Flyers on Sunday, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports.
Goulbourne was called up since the Flyers are struggling on the ice and now have four forwards on injured reserve, too. The 24-year-old has three points in seven games for AHL Lehigh Valley this year, and he failed to notch a point in nine games for the Flyers last season. His first chance to get in the lineup is Tuesday versus the Ducks.
Goulbourne signed a one-year deal with the Flyers on Sunday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Goulbourne has nine career NHL games under his belt but has no points to show for it. The 24-year-old has spent a 63 games with AHL Lehigh Valley during 2017-18 instead, producing eight goals, 11 assists and 79 PIM. The rugged forward will likely spend a majority of 2018-19 in the minors again.
Goulbourne earned a qualifying offer from the Flyers on Monday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Goulbourne played in nine games for the Flyers back in January, but averaged a mere 5:35 of ice time. In 63 minor-league contests this past season, the winger notched eight goals, 10 helpers and a plus-15 rating. Given his lack of a clear scoring touch, the Edmonton native will likely be kept in the minors to further his development.
Goulbourne was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Friday.
Goulbourne averaged just 5:33 of ice time in eight games, failing to mark his first NHL point. The 24-year-old winger has six goals, 10 points and 38 PIM in 34 minor-league games this season, and his assignment will leave a vacant roster spot, which could signal a separate recall for Saturday's game against the Senators.
Goulbourne is projected to skate with Scott Laughton and Jori Lehtera on the fourth line against Toronto on Thursday, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.
This will be the rookie's fourth game of the season, and he's averaged only 5:21 of ice time per contest through the first three. Goulbourne recorded just six goals and four assists through 34 games with AHL Lehigh Valley before being promoted to the Flyers, so with a depth role, it's probably wise to keep fantasy expectations in check.
Goulbourne was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Friday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The Flyers selected Goulbourne in the third round (72nd overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. While he's feisty and plays with plenty of energy, we wouldn't expect the 23-year-old Canadian to pick up meaningful playing time at the highest level; not this year anyway.
Goulbourne was sent down to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
With Philadelphia not scheduled to play again until Saturday against New Jersey, it's likely the transaction was made so Goulbourne can see some action during the break. The 23-year-old only played 5:23 of ice time in his debut Saturday against St. Louis, but provided a physical spark notching four hits and going plus-one nonetheless.
The Flyers recalled Goulbourne from AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
The Flyers had an open spot on their roster prior to Boulbourne's promotion, so he'll join the team and round out their depth up front for the foreseeable future. The 2013 third-round pick has notched six goals and 11 points in 34 games with Philadelphia's AHL affiliate this season.
