  • Avalanche's Vladislav Kamenev: Bumped down a level

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/25/18) Kamenev was sent down to AHL San Antonio on Saturday, per the official TSN transaction list.

Since being acquired from Nashville in the Matt Duchene trade, Kamenev's only played in three games in the NHL, and wasn't able to log a point. The 21-year-old has been able to find tremendous success in the minors throughout the last two seasons though, scoring 59 points (21 goals, 38 assists) in 77 games.

Avalanche's Vladislav Kamenev: Playing against Detroit

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/18/18) Kamenev (forearm) is back with the Avalanche and will play against the Red Wings on Sunday, Mike Chambers of the Denver Post reports.

This is only Kamenev's second game with the Avalanche this season. The 21-year-old has spent most of the season in the ECHL before heading to AHL San Antonio for a conditioning stint after he suffered a forearm injury. He's considered one of Colorado's best prospects, so it will be interesting to see how he is deployed.

Avalanche's Vladislav Kamenev: Overcomes injury, set for conditioning stint

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/3/18) Kamenev (forearm) has received medical clearance to return, but he's still expected to require conditioning in the minors with AHL San Antonio, Mike Chambers of The Denver Post reports.

The rookie center, whom the Predators originally selected in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, would end up getting hurt in the first game of the season, and he's been out ever since. Therefore, it's no surprise that he's being considered for a conditioning assignment. Given his high draft stock, it will be worth keeping an eye on Kamenev once he's back from the AHL

Avalanche's Vladislav Kamenev: Practices with AHL club

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/24/18) Kamenev (forearm) skated and took shots during practice with the AHL Rampage on Tuesday, official broadcast operations manager Dan Weiss reports.

The 21-year-old center broke his forearm Nov. 16 in a game against the Capitals, so it's encouraging to see him return to the ice. It's likely Kamenev requires an AHL conditioning stint before having a chance to return to the Avalanche. Additionally, considering Colorado's improved play, it might also be tougher to crack the lineup than it was in November. This remains a wait-and-see situation outside of deep keeper/dynasty settings.

Avalanche's Vladislav Kamenev: Suffers broken arm Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/16/17) Kamenev suffered a broken arm during Thursday's game against the Capitals and is out indefinitely, Mike Chambers of The Denver Post reports.

The injury couldn't have come at a worse time for Kamenev, as the 21-year-old forward was making his Avalanche debut Thursday after being traded to Colorado by the Predators on Nov. 5. A more definite timetable for his return to action should be released in the coming days, but he'll undoubtedly be placed on injured reserve for the duration of his absence.
