  • Francis Perron: Signs in Sweden

Perron inked a one-year deal with IF Bjorkloven (Sweden) on Wednesday. After a four-year career in the QMJHL, Perron spent the previous four seasons in the AHL without ever getting a look at the NHL squad. At this point, Perron will likely only be remembered as a prospect included as part of the deal that saw Erik Karlsson traded from Ottawa to San Jose back in 2018.

  • Francis Perron: Non-tendered by Canucks

Perron was not among the players to receive a qualifying offer from the Canucks. He will become a UFA on Friday. Perron produced 18 points in 42 games with AHL Utica in 2019-20, a massive decline from his 47-point campaign with AHL San Jose a year earlier. He didn't do enough for the Canucks to keep him in the fold, and he'll now likely seek out a minor-league deal elsewhere ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

  • Canucks' Francis Perron: Back with Vancouver

Perron signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Canucks on Monday. The 23-year-old will stick around in the organization after recording a career-high 47 points across 63 games for AHL San Jose in 2018-19. He could make his NHL debut at some point during the upcoming campaign if injuries thin the Canucks' depth at forward.

  • Canucks' Francis Perron: Given qualifying offer

Vancouver extended a qualifying offer to Perron on Tuesday. Perron had a strong season in the AHL in 2018-19, racking up 18 goals and 47 points in 63 games. It wouldn't be surprising to see the 2014 seventh-round pick make his NHL debut in 2019-20.

  • Sharks' Francis Perron: Traded once again

Perron was traded to Vanouver along with a seventh-round pick in exchange for Tom Pyatt and a sixth-round pick at the draft Saturday. Perron spent just one year in the Sharks' organization after being acquired in the Erik Karlsson trade last offseason. His chances of making an impact at the NHL level remain minimal.

  • Sharks' Francis Perron: Packaged up in trade

Perron was sent to San Jose by Ottawa as part of the blockbuster Erik Karlsson trade Thursday. With Karlsson headlining the deal -- and the multitude of pieces sent the other way -- Perron's name will likely get lost in the shuffle. The winger is a relatively untested prospect who racked up 108 points in 62 games in his final season in the QMJHL (2015-16). The winger's numbers haven't been the greatest in the AHL, but perhaps a move stateside will help revitalize the 22-year-old's career.
