Flyers' Wade Allison: Two helpers Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Allison picked up two assists in Monday's 4-2 win over the Devils.

The 23-year-old rookie was clicking on the second line with Kevin Hayes and Joel Farabee to wrap up the year, and Allison scored three goals and six points over the last five games -- a remarkable turnaround after he managed only one goal in his first nine NHL contests. The second-round pick in 2016 will be on the hunt for a permanent spot in the top six next season.

Flyers' Wade Allison: Provides first helper
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Allison managed an assist and six hits in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to the Penguins.

Allison set up Justin Braun for the Flyers' first goal of the game. The 23-year-old Allison has three points, 19 shots on goal and 26 hits in his first 11 NHL games. The second-round pick from 2016 will likely compete for a full-time gig in 2021-22 after spending a large portion of this season out with an ankle injury.

Flyers' Wade Allison: Celebrates first NHL goal
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Allison earned a power-play goal Saturday in a 6-3 loss to the Capitals. This was the first goal of his NHL career.

A product of Western Michigan University, Allison was right in front of the net when he caught Ilya Samsonov sprawling out of position. The rookie sustained a serious knee injury in college, which is a major reason why the second-round (No. 52 overall) draft pick from 2016 is just now ascending to the big stage, but he is skilled and possesses a projectable frame at 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds. The 23-year-old winger should be an intriguing fantasy option down the stretch.

Allison was promoted to the taxi squad Saturday.

Flyers' Wade Allison: Assigned to AHL affiliate
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Allison (ankle) has been activated off non-roster injured reserve and has been assigned to AHL Lehigh Valley.

Allison has remained with the big club while recovering from ankle surgery, but now that he's made a full recovery, he'll head to the minors for the foreseeable future. The 2016 second-round pick spent last season at Western Michigan University, picking up 10 goals and 23 points in 26 games.

Flyers' Wade Allison: Requires another month of recovery
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Allison underwent ankle surgery and will need 4-to-5 more weeks of recovery, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

This injury is why Allison started the year on the non-roster injured reserve. He'll need about another month of recovery, so a late-February target is reasonable. At that point, the Flyers likely will send Allison down to the AHL to develop his game. After all, he just finished four years of college at Western Michigan University, where he produced 45 goals and 97 points through 106 games.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Allison (undisclosed) will start the 2020-21 season on non-roster injured reserve.

Allison suffered an undisclosed injury during training camp and evidently has yet to make a full recovery. The 2016 second-round pick will stick with the big club for now, but once he's medically cleared, he'll likely head to the Flyers' AHL affiliate. The 23-year-old winger notched 10 goals and 23 points in 26 games as a senior at Western Michigan University last year.

Flyers' Wade Allison: Heading back to school
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Allison will spend the 2019-20 campaign with Western Michigan University, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Allison spent 17 months on the shelf after suffering an ACL tear. The winger told reporters he didn't initially intend to play all four years at WMU, but will complete his senior season nonetheless. If he can show there are no lingering effects from his injury, the 21-year-old should be in line for an entry-level deal at the end of the collegiate season.

Flyers' Wade Allison: Prospect on verge of returning to WMU
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Allison, a Flyers prospect who tore his ACL last January, is expected to be ready for the start of the season for Western Michigan University, Brad Elliott Schlosman of the Grand Forks Herald reports, citing WMU coach Andy Murray.

"He's been skating full power," Murray said of Allison, who is currently on the Flyers' reserve list without an official contract. "We haven't put him in any of our squad games. Not that he couldn't do it. It's our feeling he'll be ready to play from the start." Allison produced 30 points (15 goals, 15 assists) to complement a plus-7 rating over 22 games for the Broncos last season.

Flyers' Wade Allison: Out for season with lower-body injury
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Allison (lower body) is out for the remainder of the season, according to Western Michigan University's official Twitter account.

It's a crushing blow for one of the best players in all of college hockey. Allison, who was injured early in last weekend's game against St. Cloud State has exploded in his second season with the Broncos and is currently tied for fifth in the nation in scoring with 15 goals and 30 points in 22 games. No word yet on the exact nature of Allison's injury but it is obviously quite serious as it will end his 2017-18 campaign. It may also end his collegiate career as the Flyers are expected to sign the 2016 second-round pick to an entry-level deal this summer.
