Twarynski was left of the team's 31-man playoff roster Sunday, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.
Twarynski saw 15 games with the big club this past campaign, logging one assist and 14 shots across 10:41 of average ice time. The team will roll with 17 forwards, with Linus Sandin and German Rubtsov also cut from the roster.

Twarynski spent the bulk of the year playing in the minors with AHL Lehigh Valley but did log 15 contests with Philadelphia in which he notched one assist, 14 shots and 40 hits while averaging 10:41 of ice time. While the winger will likely spend the bulk of the postseason in the press box, Twarynski could see himself thrusts into the lineup if an injury or two crops up.

Tawrynski needed only three career games to find twine for the first time, beating Jacob Markstrom in the second period. The 21-year-old winger has nine hits and four shots on goal in three games. He'll look to continue adding offense when he plays in his hometown of Calgary on Tuesday.

That's the bad news, but Twarynski making the team out of training camp and receiving almost 12 minutes of ice time in his first game is still a big deal. He was also involved, contributing in the secondary categories during his debut. That's probably where Twarynski will be most valuable to owners this season. He had 10 goals and 24 points with 50 PIM in 69 AHL games last season.
