Penguins' Thomas Di Pauli: Headed back to minors
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Di Pauli was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Monday.

Di Pauli made his NHL debut versus Montreal on Saturday but was limited to just 4:16 of ice time. In total, the center logged less than 12 minutes of total ice time in his two appearances. The Illinois native will rejoin the Baby Pens while Andrew Agozzino gets a look with the big club.

Penguins' Thomas Di Pauli: Recalled from minors
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Di Pauli was called up from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday.

Following the injury to Jake Guentzel (shoulder), the Penguins find themselves without an extra forward, hence the promotion for Di Pauli ahead of Saturday's road trip to Montreal. The Illinois native is unlikely to unseat Joseph Blandisi or Sam Lafferty from a spot in the lineup and figures to return to the minors without getting in an NHL game.

Penguins' Thomas Di Pauli: Shifts back to AHL
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Penguins reassigned Di Pauli to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday.

Di Pauli was called up twice in December but served as a healthy scratch both times, so the 25-year-old will continue his development in the minors. Over 20 AHL games this year, Di Pauli has four goals, five assists and 10 PIM.

Penguins' Thomas Di Pauli: Promoted from minors
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Di Pauli was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday.

Di Pauli figures to serve as a healthy scratch versus Nashville on Friday considering the club also brought up the more experienced Joseph Blandisi. Once (if) the Penguins get healthy, the Illinois native should return to the minors where he's registered four goals, five assists and 10 PIM in 20 games this year.

Penguins' Thomas Di Pauli: Back to bus league
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Penguins shifted Di Pauli to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday.

Di Pauli received the promotion Dec. 20, but failed to play in either of the past two games with the big club. In 19 minor-league contests this year, the 25-year-old has collected four goals and nine points.

Penguins' Thomas Di Pauli: Recalled from minors
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Di Pauli was promoted from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday.

This marks the first call-up for Di Pauli other than as a "Black Ace" at playoff time. Even with the promotion, the 25-year-old is unlikely to get into action versus Edmonton on Friday, though given how injury prone the Penguins have been this season, it's certainly not an impossibility. In 19 minor-league contests this year, the Notre Dame product has notched four goals and five helpers.

Penguins' Thomas Di Pauli: Inks one-year deal
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Di Pauli signed a one-year, two-way contract with Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Di Pauli was set to hit the free-agent market this summer, but instead will be back with the Penguins for another year. Originally drafted by Capitals in the fourth round of the 2012 NHL Draft, the 25-year-old instead signed with Pittsburgh and spent the past three seasons with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Injuries limited the center to just 29 games this year, but he still notched seven goals and eight helpers. A longshot for the Opening Night roster, Di Pauli should at least make his NHL debut at some point during the 2019-20 campaign.
