Highmore (not injury related) will make his Canucks debut Tuesday against Toronto, NHL.com reports.
Highmore was acquired from the Blackhawks just before the trade deadline and hasn't had a chance to get into the lineup yet. The 25-year-old had two assists while averaging just 8:50 of ice time in 25 games prior to the trade. He could see a slightly bigger role in Vancouver's lineup.
Highmore was traded to Vancouver from Chicago on Monday in a swap for Adam Gaudette, Frank Seravalli of TSN.ca reports.
Highmore played in just three of Chicago's last 12 games, so it shouldn't come as a shock to see him shipped out by the club. Vancouver will avoid having to negotiate a new deal for Gaudette, who will be a restricted free agent this offseason by flipping him for Highmore. Even once he serves his mandatory one-week quarantine, Highmore may still struggle to crack the Canucks' lineup with consistency, making him a low-end fantasy option.
Highmore produced an assist in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Red Wings.
Highmore picked up just his second assist in 14 appearances this year with the secondary helper on the first of Ryan Carpenter's two goals in the game. The 25-year-old Highmore is a rotational fourth-line player for the Blackhawks -- he hasn't produced enough to warrant fantasy consideration.
Highmore scored a goal on two shots and added a pair of hits Sunday in a 3-1 win over Vegas in Game 4.
Highmore sent a shot toward the goal from the corner below the goal line, and the puck ricocheted off the helmet of Vegas goaltender Robin Lehner and into the net. The first-period goal gave the Blackhawks a 2-0 cushion and proved to be the game-winner. It was Highmore's third goal of the postseason, which ranks him third on the Blackhawks.
Highmore scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Friday's 3-2 win over the Oilers in Game 4.
Highmore scored just 2:40 after Brandon Saad in the first period, putting the Blackhawks ahead 2-1. The 24-year-old Highmore has picked up three points in his last two games despite skating a combined 16:01. He added six hits and four shots in the series, but the Halifax native shouldn't be relied on for consistent offense.
Highmore scored a goal and supplied an assist in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Oilers in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers.
Highmore's first playoff point came on an Olli Maatta goal in the first period. The 23-year-old forward then tallied his first postseason goal by tipping home a Slater Koekkoek shot in the third. Highmore had just six points to go with 38 hits and 35 shots in 36 contests during the regular season. His two-point burst Wednesday came in just 7:38 of ice time -- don't expect a repeat effort in Friday's Game 4.
Highmore penned a two-year contract extension with the Blackhawks on Thursday. The first year of the extension is a two-way deal, but it transitions into a one-way agreement for the 2021-22 season.
Highmore has appeared in 36 games with the big club this campaign, totaling two goals and six points while averaging 9:49 of ice time per contest. The 24-year-old forward may continue to bounce between leagues in 2020-21, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him carve out a full-time role in the Blackhawks' bottom six in 2021-22.
Highmore scored a goal on his lone shot and had two PIM in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to St. Louis.
Highmore's goal at 5:16 of the third period tied the game at 4-4. It was the first time finding the net since Dec. 27, a span of 18 games without a goal. The 23-year-old has five points in 29 games this season and has mustered just 27 shots on goal.
Highmore generated an assist in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Flames.
Highmore had the lone helper on Alexander Nylander's second goal of the game. In 24 contests, Highmore is at four points, 22 shots and 24 hits. He's likely to remain in a limited, bottom-six role that probably won't yield enough production for fantasy owners.
Highmore notched an assist, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Highmore had an assist on Erik Gustafsson's first-period tally. The helper snapped a nine-game point drought for the 23-year-old forward. He's up to three points, 19 shots on goal and 22 hits through 20 appearances. With a limited fourth-line role, Highmore isn't worth adding outside the deepest of fantasy formats.
Highmore scored a goal on four shots and added two PIM in Friday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
Highmore scored the Blackhawks' fifth and final goal, converting on a pass from David Kampf at 3:03 of the third period. Both of the 23-year-old's points have come in the last two games. Highmore has added 11 shots on goal and eight hits in 10 contests. His limited fourth-line role isn't likely to lead to much offense.
Highmore posted an assist in Monday's 7-1 blowout loss to the Devils.
Highmore's first point of the year came on a Zack Smith goal early in the first period. The 23-year-old has just seven shots on goal and eight hits through nine appearances. A bottom-six role with the lowly Blackhawks will likely keep Highmore as a non-factor in fantasy play.
The Blackhawks recalled Highmore from AHL Rockford on Monday.
The Blackhawks need depth at forward since Andrew Shaw and Drake Caggiula are on IR with concussions, so Highmore gets the call after posting 14 points over 21 AHL games this season. The 23-year-old is the 13th forward on the roster, so there's no guarantee he draws in during the team's upcoming three-game road trip, starting Tuesday in Vegas.
Highmore was reassigned to AHL Rockford on Friday.
Highmore's demotion opened up a spot for defenseman Ian McCoshen on the roster after Duncan Keith suffered a groin injury in Friday's game versus the Avalanche. Highmore didn't get on the scoresheet in two appearances during his most recent stint with the parent club.
Highmore was recalled from AHL Rockford on Monday.
Highmore's promotion may just be a reward for his strong start to the season, as he's racked up 10 points in 17 minor-league games, though the Blackhawks faithful will no doubt be eager to see if everybody is on the ice for Monday's practice session. If the 23-year-old Highmore jumps into the lineup against Dallas on Tuesday, it would likely be in favor of Zach Smith or Kirby Dach.
Highmore (shoulder) will suit up versus Washington on Monday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.
Highmore will get his first taste of NHL action after undergoing shoulder surgery in November. The center will need to put together a strong training camp showing, starting with Monday's preseason tilt, in order to secure a spot on the 23-man roster for Opening Night versus the Flyers on Oct. 4.
Highmore underwent shoulder surgery Tuesday and will be sidelined for 4-to-6 months.
It appears that Highmore's season is almost certainly over, so he'll now set his sights on getting back to 100 percent ahead of the 2019-20 campaign. The 22-year-old forward notched three goals and seven points in eight AHL appearances prior to his injury.
Highmore was reassigned to AHL Rockford on Monday.
The rookie from Halifax, Novia Scotia had been filling in with Jonathan Toews (upper body) tending to a lower-body injury, but the captain has two more days to rest up before the next game. As for the AHL's IceHogs, they'll go to work -- presumably with Highmore in tow -- facing the Moose on the road Wednesday.
Highmore (undisclosed) is expected to be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Canucks.
Highmore missed Tuesday's game against Colorado due to an undisclosed injury, but his absence will be limited to just one game. The 22-year-old forward, who's potted one goal in 10 contests with the Blackhawks this campaign, will skate with Vinnie Hinostroza and Brandon Saad on Chicago's third line against Vancouver.
Highmore (undisclosed) is considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's game against the Avalanche, Eric Lear of the Blackhawks' official site reports.
Highmore has all but been ruled out against Colorado, so Andreas Martinsen will almost certainly round out Chicago's depth up front Tuesday evening. Highmore, who's notched one goal in 10 games with the big club this campaign, will likely be reevaluated ahead of Thursday's matchup with the Canucks.
