  • Bruins' Jakub Lauko: Fuels Memorial Cup win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/23/19) Lauko picked up a goal and an assist in Rouyn-Noranda's 4-3 victory over Halifax in CHL Memorial Cup action Wednesday.

Rouyn-Noranda, Halifax and Guelph all finished the round robin portion of the tournament at 2-1, but Halifax is the club moving directly to Sunday's final based upon the greatest goal differential of the three teams. The Huskies and Storm will battle in Friday's semifinal. With five points in three contests, Lauko has been a big part of Rouyn-Noranda's success in the tournament.

Bruins' Jakub Lauko: Generating chances in QMJHL

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/8/19) Lauko posted a hat trick in QMJHL Rouyn-Noranda's 5-1 victory over Quebec on Thursday.

Lauko has shown more good than bad through the first 39 games of his QMJHL career. He has displayed a decent scoring touch (19 goals, 34 points) and is doing a terrific job of generating offense (155 shots on goal). Lauko's world-class speed would make him an ideal role player if his scoring dries up at the professional level. The 2018 third-round selection (77th overall) signed his entry-level with Boston in September.

Bruins' Jakub Lauko: Signs entry-level deal

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(9/28/18) Lauko (undisclosed) agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with Boston on Friday.

After notching two goals in a pair of preseason contests, team brass had seen enough to ink Lauko to an entry-level deal. The center will be reassigned to his junior club (QMJHL Rouyn-Noranda) for the 2018-19 campaign, but he could get a look in the final few contests of the season.

Bruins' Jakub Lauko: Sustains undisclosed injury

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(9/20/18) According to assistant coach Joe Sacco, Lauko was "banged up" during a drill in practice, Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston reports.

Lauko wasn't going to make the Bruins roster coming out of camp; however, an extended absence could see him sent back overseas rather than playing with AHL Providence, where he would be eligible to be called up.

Bruins' Jakub Lauko: Scores first preseason goal

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(9/16/18) Lauko scored a goal in Sunday's 2-1 preseason victory over Washington.

The 18-year-old rookie notched a goal in his first lick of NHL action. While he is a longshot to earn a roster spot this year, it was certainly encouraging to see the young Prague native produce in his first game at the NHL level.
