Maddie Bowman, the gold medalist in the inaugural Olympic women's ski halfpipe event in Sochi in 2014,and was visibly upset as NBC cameras focused on her. But it wasn't all bad for Team USA. Brita Sigourney took the bronze in the 12-skier final that was won by Canada's Cassie Sharpe.
Sigourney, a 28-year-old California native, secured third place with a 91.60 on her final run. Unfortunately, she knocked fellow USA teammate Annalisa Drew off the podium in the process, but the two did share a hug at the bottom of the hill following that final run.
