After experiencing their first defeat under new manager Arne Slot, Liverpool aim to bounce back in the Premier League when they take on Bournemouth on Saturday.
Despite the loss to Nottingham Forest last weekend, Liverpool rank fourth in the Premier League with three wins in four games, mostly showing positive early returns as Slot settles into life at Anfield. They will be tasked with keeping the strong start going when they host Bournemouth, who have won just one game in the league so far but are trying to build one of England's best attacks.

Storylines
After a few straightforward wins for Slot, the last week has offered a little more color on what his Liverpool team might look like going forward. They clearly struggled on Saturday against Nottingham Forest, who played in a low defensive block that restricted the Reds despite the fact that they took 14 shots on target. They showed an ability to bounce back on Tuesday, though, when they took a 1-0 deficit after just three minutes, but went on to win 3-1 at AC Milan in their opening game of the UEFA Champions League.
While Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz lead the team for goals with three each, Tuesday's trip to Milan allowed Liverpool a chance to show off their wide range of goalscoring options. Dominik Szoboszlai got on the scoresheet, as did two center backs – Ibrahima Konate and the aerial threat Virgil van Dijk. Salah and Diaz will probably still be the main men to rely on in attack against Bournemouth, but it feels like Slot's Liverpool are starting to flex all of their muscles as the Dutchman settles into the new job.
Prediction
The loss to Forest aside, everything seems to be trending in the right direction for Slot in his first weeks at Liverpool so expect another straightforward outing for the Reds against a Bournemouth side that's still perfecting their gameplan. Pick: Liverpool 2, Bournemouth 0
