Messi asks ref to book Juventus player, ends up receiving yellow card himself

Lionel Messi isn't afraid to ask the ref to give a yellow card to an opposing player for a tough challenge. He does it all the time whether he's playing for his club or country. He was caught pleading with the head official on Tuesday for Barcelona, asking for a Juventus player to be booked for a challenge in the Champions League, and he actually ended up receiving a yellow himself. Take a look:

Now, one would assume he got the card for putting his hand on the ref. But he makes the signal that it's for the card, and maybe that's a lesson learned for Messi. You aren't supposed to make such a request to the ref and you're not supposed to make contact with him either. We'll have to see if Messi does it ever again.
